Che la sola speranza per il genere umano sia l'estinzione lo dico da tempo, tanto che auspico che il meteorite che porra' fine al nostro inutile genere sia almeno gia' in zona.
Tanto io quello che dovevo fare l'ho fatto, se dovesse capitare...amen.
Ogni giorno arrivano testimonianze sul come questo nostro paese, potenzialmente magnifico, sia oramai senza speranza.

Olimpiadi di Parigi.
Una ragazzina italiana di 19 anni, Benedetta Pilato arriva quarta nella gara di nuoto, la medaglia di bronzo sfugge per un solo centesimo.
La ragazza si presenta in zona mista dicendo "E' stato il giorno piu' bello della mia vita".
L'intervistatrice, cercando di ammantare il tutto di tristezza le fa notare che il bronzo e' sfuggito per un centesimo ma la ragazzetta non spegne il suo sorriso.

In studio, una ex schermitrice chiamata, chissa' per quali titoli, nel nuoto, a commentare le gare deride la ragazzetta e la sua gioia per essere comunque riuscita a sfiorare il tetto del mondo.
In rete bande di deficienti insultano la Pilato dandole della fallita quando non di peggio, gente che ha visto la vita sempre dalla porta di servizio che si mette a pontificare sui sogni e le gioie di una ragazzina che ha sfiorato il cielo.

Una professoressa ha scritto un pezzo che vi riporto in parte.
"Quanta pochezza, quanta grettezza! In questo mondo di arroganti, di prepotenti, di nevrotici del successo (altrui aggiungo io), di sgomitatori pronti a passare sul corpo degli altri pur di arrivare primi questa ragazza di soli 19 anni ha dato una lezione di eleganza , forza d'animo e cultura che tanti non avranno mai"

Lo sport e' anche questo, provarci con tutte le proprie forze, alcune volte puo' andare bene, altre meno ma parliamo pur sempre di un quarto posto alle Olimpiadi per una ragazzetta di 19 anni, certo quel maledetto centesimo era meglio se non c'era ma l'impresa e' stata comunque colossale.
Posso solo augurare a questa ragazza i migliori successi per il suo futuro sportivo e non, per quanto riguarda il presente...ha gia' vinto.

I have been saying for a long time that the only hope for the human race is extinction, so much so that I hope that the meteorite that will put an end to our useless race is at least already in the area.

Every day we hear about how this potentially magnificent country of ours is now hopeless.

Paris Olympics.
A 19-year-old Italian girl, Benedetta Pilato, comes fourth in the swimming race, missing out on the bronze medal by just one hundredth.
The girl shows up in the mixed zone saying "It was the best day of my life".
The interviewer, trying to cloak it all in sadness, points out that the bronze was missed by just one hundredth, but the girl doesn't let her smile go away.

In the studio, a former fencer called, who knows for what titles, in swimming, to comment on the competitions mocks the girl and her joy at having managed to touch the roof of the world.
On the web gangs of morons insult Pilato calling her a failure or worse, people who have always seen life from the back door who start pontificating on the dreams and joys of a girl who has touched the sky.

A teacher wrote a piece that I report to you in part.
"How much pettiness, how much pettiness! In this world of arrogant, bullies, success neurotics (others I add), of elbows ready to step on the bodies of others just to get first, this girl of only 19 years old has given a lesson in elegance, strength of mind and culture that many will never have"

Sport is also this, trying with all your strength, sometimes it can go well, other times less but we are still talking about a fourth place at the Olympics for a 19 year old girl, of course that damned hundredth would have been better if it wasn't there but the feat was still colossal.
I can only wish this girl the best successes for her sporting future and not, as far as the present is concerned... she has already won.
