Esattamente fra un mese faro' rotta verso Cuba; Volo Torino-Parigi-Avana e Viazul per las Tunas preso direttamente in aeroporto.
Come ci informano gli organi di stampa, ma soprattutto chi a Cuba ci vive, la situazione sull'isola e' complicata.
Quando non lo e' stata?
Quando al nostro arrivo dopo un assenza di qualche mese non abbiamo trovato qualche casino inaspettato?

L'altro giorno sentivo al telefono la mia famiglia di riferimento, dal punto di vista dei costi per loro la situazione “arde” testuale, dove per loro intendo non soltanto chi mi ha risposto ma tutti coloro che vivono sull'isola.
Non voglio neanche fare il classico discorso “per noi in fondo cambia poco”, che e' vero ma non e' che devo gioire perche' il cambio alternativo mi concede qualche opportunita' in piu'.

So che la situazione carburanti e' complicata, infatti valutero' se
rentare lo scooter, acquistare finalmente quello elettrico o viaggiare col cavallo di S.Francesco che mantiene anche in forma.
Non mi faccio certo problemi per questo.
Leggevo che piu' di un residente o semi residente italiano di Las Tunas ha deciso di tornare definitivamente in Italia, decisione comprensibile, parliamo di persone avanti con gli anni, se la situazione diventa pesante soprattutto dal punto di vista sanitario meglio tornare.
Pero' io non vado a vivere a Cuba, vado a passarci un mese.

Sono partito in pieno lockdown quando non volava nessuno, passando 8 giorni di quarantena in un attico sul Malecon, trovando poi un taxi collettivo per raggiungere Tunas fra mille controlli, girando sempre con la mascherina e mi sono comunque divertito, volete mica che mi spavento per la situazione attuale?
Cibo se ne trova, i ristoranti sono aperti e ben forniti, nei mercati c'e' mercanzia, i locali sono aperti, basta pagare il dovuto e tutto si risolve.

In questo mese e mezzo che trascorro qua' a casa dopo la stagione estiva sto leggendo parecchio.
Mi e' ricapitato fra le mani un libro di Danilo Manera edito da Feltrinelli “A Labbra nude, racconti dell'ultima Cuba”.
L'autore raccoglie una serie di romanzi brevi di scrittori cubani e poi narra le sue avventure a Cuba che poi finiscono, anche per gli intellettuali, a letto con una mulatta in un attico sotto il cielo dell'Avana.

Il libro e' del 1994, narra quella Cuba la', pero' leggendolo ora sembra che sia stato scritto ieri tanto che attuale.
Sono pero' passati 30 anni, Fidel non c'e' piu', e' arrivato internet e la gente e' stufa di ideologie esattamente come qua' da noi in Italia.
Vi pubblico alcune righe scritte dall'autore alla fine del libro.

“Non e' giusto che i cubani paghino ancora il prezzo di essere un mito altrui, stretti fra le due nomenklature contrapposte e complementari di chi a Miami ha fatto la fortuna con Castro, dando la colpa di tutto a lui, e di chi all'Avana ha fatto fortuna con Fidel, occupando ingloriosamente posti di potere nella sua ombra per troppo tempo. Spetta soltanto a loro valutare le conquiste irrinunciabili, gli errori da correggere e i soprusi da punire. Questa
e' la loro terra, l'hanno saputa riscattare da filibustieri di ogni provenienza, dai colonialisti spagnoli e da una dittatura sostenuta dalla piu' potente nazione del pianeta. Ora sono di nuovo soli. La storia li mette sempre davanti alle sfide piu' ardue. Tocca di nuovo a loro e gli va riconosciuto anche il diritto di sbagliare. Posso solo augurare che trovino una transizione pacifica, graduale e ragionevole, che preservi l'indipendenza e le caratteristiche culturali cubane, il senso del bene collettivo. Che se la cavino insomma ancora una volta, secondo il loro modo di sentire. I cubani sanno benissimo che non si puo' giudicare la Rivoluzione da questo periodo estremo di carestia e bancarotta, il paragone va fatto con gli altri paesi latinoamericani che guardano a Cuba come una luminosa speranza, l'eccezione che mantiene viva l'utopia.”

ONE MONTH AND WE LEAVE / WITH BARE LIPS

Exactly in a month I will set sail for Cuba; Flight Turin-
Paris-Havana and Viazul to las Tunas taken directly from the airport.
As the press informs us, but above all those in Cuba

When we arrived after an absence of a few months, no
did we find some unexpected mess?

The other day I spoke to my reference family on the phone, from the point of view of costs for them the situation "burns" textually, where by them I mean not only those who answered me but all those who live on the island.
I don't even want to make the classic speech "in the end it changes little for us", which is true but I shouldn't rejoice because the alternative exchange rate gives me a few more opportunities.

I know that the fuel situation is complicated, in fact I will evaluate if
rent the scooter, finally buy the electric one or
travel with the St. Francis horse which also keeps you in shape.
I certainly don't have any problems with this.
I read that more than one Italian resident or semi-resident of Las
Tunas has decided to return to Italy permanently, a decision
understandable, we are talking about people who are getting on in years, if the situation becomes difficult especially from a health point of view
better come back.
But I'm not going to live in Cuba, I'm going to spend a month there.

I left in full lockdown when no one was flying,
spending 8 days of quarantine in a penthouse on the Malecon, finding
then a shared taxi to reach Tunas with a thousand checks, always wearing a mask and I still had fun, don't you want me to be scared by the current situation?
You can find food, the restaurants are open and well stocked, in the markets
there's merchandise, the places are open, you just need to pay what you have to pay and that's it
solves.

In this month and a half that I spend here at home after the summer season I've been reading a lot.
I came across a book by Danilo Manera published by Feltrinelli “A Lips Naked, tales of the last Cuba”.
The author collects a series of short novels by Cuban writers and
then he narrates his adventures in Cuba which then end, even for him
intellectuals, in bed with a mulatto girl in a penthouse under the Havana sky.

The book is from 1994, it narrates that Cuba there, but reading it now it seems as if it was written yesterday as well as current.
However, 30 years have passed, Fidel is no longer here, the internet has arrived and people are fed up with ideologies just like here in Italy.
I publish some lines written by the author at the end of the book.

“It is not right that Cubans still pay the price of being someone else's myth, caught between the two opposing and complementary nomenklatures of those who made their fortune in Miami with Castro, blaming everything on him, and those on Havana made a fortune with
Fidel, ingloriously occupying positions of power in his shadow
for too long. It is up to them alone to evaluate the achievements
essential, errors to be corrected and abuses to be punished. This
It's their land, they knew how to redeem it from all sorts of freebooters
origin, from the Spanish colonialists and from a dictatorship supported by the most powerful nation on the planet. Now they are alone again. History always puts them in front of the most arduous challenges. It's their turn again and they should also be given the right to make mistakes. I can only hope that they find a peaceful, gradual and reasonable transition, which preserves their independence and characteristics
Cuban cultures, the sense of collective good. In short, let them get away with it once again, according to their way of feeling. Cubans know very well that the Revolution cannot be judged by this extreme period of famine and bankruptcy, the comparison must be made with other Latin American countries that look to Cuba as a bright hope, the exception that keeps utopia alive.”
