Ten photographs of my city (Preparation of land for potatoes after bringing rice)
Hello friends,
Photography is a perfect output of skill and patience. We all do our photography according to our skills. I am currently staying in the village and doing rural environment photography. Like last week I'm going to participate in the 22nd week of @steem-for-future's contest with photos taken in time as I continue my farming activities. I invite you @zisha-hafiz @jollymonoara @robin42 to participate in this photography contest.
Villagers are physically fit because they wake up as soon as the sun rises. The morning weather and atmosphere invigorates the mind and body. Waking up with the sunrise makes the day go by and it is possible to complete the day's work as planned. Today's winter mornings are sweeter with light mist.
In the 21st competition I showed our agricultural rice harvesting. That paddy has been dried in the field, now that paddy should be brought home. We used laborers to bring the paddies home from the field and tie them and stack them in one place.
Our land is about 1.5 km away from our house and we need transport to bring this paddy to our house, so we have arranged for a vehicle that goes directly to the land so that we can bring the paddy with straw directly from the field to our house.
We will sow potato seeds in this vacant land after bringing paddy. Potato is becoming one of our major economic crops. As it is exported outside the country, it has created quite a demand. A lot of organic manure management is required for potato cultivation. We prepare organic manure from our farm by transporting it in our own van.
We take the organic fertilizers next to the land. It takes a lot of energy to push this van to the land, so I am keeping this fertilizer in one corner of the land and from here I will sprinkle it on the whole land little by little.
After bringing the paddy home, our land is now bare, so we have to dry the soil of the land by plowing. It is very important to dry the soil for potatoes because sowing potato seeds in wet soil is more likely to rot the potatoes. We have started the first tillage and will till again when the topsoil dries up.
There are many steps to make a land suitable for sowing seeds or planting seedlings. After the first tillage we cut and level the grass in the aisles around the field so that this grass does not affect the crop later.
After the first cultivation, we started the application of organic manure brought in vans (dung manure) to the land. For this, two people are spreading the manure evenly on the entire land with baskets made by Bash and from here the organic manure will be spread on the land.
Return home after finishing the land work. The day sun is setting in the west. The workers have stopped work to go home. We are also going back home with Suryast after finishing our work.
Our materials for today's work were less, so we could not do the work properly. I had to go to the village market at night to buy these baskets made by Bash to take the organic manure to the field. I photographed the vendor busy with the materials used in the agricultural crops.

Your story sounds interesting, especially since it touches on the simplicity and hard work of rural life. It was certainly a challenge to deal with limited resources, but you still found a solution by going to the village market—it shows your dedication to your work.
Did you have a chance to capture the atmosphere of the night market with the lights illuminating the vendors and their activities? Photos of vendors busy with agricultural products certainly have their own charm, especially in depicting authentic village life. If you want to share it, maybe add a short story about how they prepared the ingredients or your interaction with them. It would be a beautiful and inspiring documentation!
Yes the only raw material for making these products is bamboo but the whole process of making them is done by women in their homes. They sit in the market and do small tasks in the shop. To explore the entire process of their work, one must visit the house where the products are made.
Amazing! Using bamboo as the sole raw material shows respect for natural resources and sustainability. The fact that the process is carried out by women in their homes also underlines the value of empowering local communities, especially women, in creating valuable products.
