The goal of our trip was the Karanč lookout tower on the Slovak-Hungarian border, where we are to meet our classmates.

In the morning we leave by bus from Fiľakovo. We perform at Šiatorská Bukovinka. The stop is as if in the middle of a meadow. There are only a few houses around. Except for us and the horses, no one is far and wide.

We continue on the asphalt road until a friend stops me. We're going bad, we have to go back. Fortunately, we walked only about 200 meters in the opposite direction.

We return and finally find a tourist sign. We walk through a field around an old well.

We continue along the forest path. We talk, we remember the experiences from university and we enjoy a walk in the woods. It is hot outside and the trees provide us with a refuge from the heat. Here and there I choose a camera and photograph the surrounding nature. I usually photograph the landscape, but now it's completely different.

I was fascinated by the insects that were around the hiking trail.

A larva of a butterfly hanging on a thin thread. It seemed to float freely.

Or an anthill. It was a large anthill with many ants. They went up and down. They were constantly looking for something and carrying it to the anthill. One ant cannot be heard. But this anthill made unrepeatable sounds. It was the noisiest anthill I've ever seen.

After a long walk, a pleasant walk turns into a hike. The climb is getting steeper and steeper. Miles in the legs are increasing. We walk along the Slovak-Hungarian state border, which is marked by concrete columns.

We are finally on the lookout. Classmates who came here another way were already waiting for us.

The view of every side of the world is worth it. I was most interested in the view of Šomoška Castle and Salgó Castle. We are going to visit these two castles in the following days.

After refreshments, we follow the path taken by my classmates. It is not far to the parking lot where the car is parked. We walk through the meadows that attracted me. After photographing the insects, landscape photography also came into play.

Well thank you.
