Montecatini Alto a rare medieval pearl.
Finally we have a sunny day after many rainy days and we decide to have a little trip in Montecatini alto, situated in a northern part of Montecatini, this is the old part or the city situated 300 meters above the sea the old part it's medieval, little and lovely, a perfect place for a walk in a lovely place.
Montecatini alto have a big park where you can park and go easily in the main places of Montecatini alto, the piazzetta with the Podesta building and many little bats and restaurants for enjoying a good evening.
There are an old church and on the other part of the city there are the carmine tower or clock tower unfortunately it's closed and we can't enjoy the view on the valley from the tower but there are still some panoramic places for see the valley at the start of the town. Montecatini both alto and basso was a rich city with a good economy in the past , actually for the COVID the tourism and the shops are in a big financial crisis unfortunately.
I also loved the main square, it's really full of cute bars and restaurants, mostly with high prices unfortunately.
But the main square it's really lovely.
