Information is a need

After a survey that was done in 2002 in my
community, we saw that our community was
doing so bad in education and lacked access to information so we came up with a public library
as away of accessing relevant books for education and relevant material for
accessing information. So am running a public library in Uganda however one
gentleman entered into my library and his comment was negative about the
library, He said “ the library is so traditional” and it needs to be modified. Immediately
what came to my mind is to consult the community to advise.

So in this case how
can I change my library from tradition to a modern library"? What should I
change and add in my library to make it modern and relevant?
