Hi, world travelers:

This time I will share 3 pictures from my trip to Bordeaux. How difficult it is to choose only 3 pictures!

The idea is to relive a trip or a tour with only three photos. This way I will have more time to go into some details. And I will do it through Travelfeed.io the social network of travelers. If you don't know it, I invite you to enjoy the whole world through the users' publications.

In Travelfeed.io you don't just see photographs. There are also tips, airports, cruises, restaurants, museums, etc., which travelers invite us to visit.

The tour I will show is to highlight the city registered as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2007.

Going to Bordeaux is to meet a very dynamic city for its student life, its port activity, its history, and, of course, the wines. But I will not go to the wine fields, this time. I will do that tour some other time.

For now, I will only write about my memories in the city downtown.

On the Place de la Bourse you can see many different figurehead whose inspirations were varied. This square was inaugurated in 1749, approximately, at the time of prosperity of the city. It was renamed in 1848 as Place de Bourse and is undoubtedly a symbol of 18th century classical French architecture.

I love this picture because I planned it. There is the Miroir d'eua which is the largest reflecting pool in the world. The depth of this pool is only 2cm and jets of sprayed water are activated several times during the day.

One can walk barefoot in it during the summer and it is very refreshing.

For the photograph I waited patiently for the water jets to be activated and for the electric meter to be running.

The figurehead in my photograph is in the Monuments of the Girondins fountain located in the Quinconces plaça. This is one of the biggest squares in Europe and the biggest in France.

The fountain was built in memory of the Girondins who were victims during the French Revolution. The beautiful thing about this monument is the statue, at the top of it, as a symbol of the spirit of freedom.

It is worth mentioning that in several places in Bordeaux the spirit of courage and freedom is exalted.

To finish this tour, nothing better than having a good coffee or a refreshing drink and going to the Pey-Berland square.

There you will find St. Andrew's Cathedral, which in turn is part of the route of the pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela in France.

The cathedral has a Romanesque origin and was built in the Gothic style.

The most beautiful and larges organs were found here, according to the history of this monument of Christianity. Nowadays, it has a very versatile organ built by Danion-González.

The central nave, the stained glass windows, the tympanum, the organ, the rose window, the gargoyles and many other details make this cathedral an obligatory visit for art lovers, as well as for Christians or non-Christians.

Not to mention the Pey-Berland Tower or bell tower this, at 66 metres high, offers an incredible panoramic view of the city.

Friends: three photographs, a city and hundreds of memories. It is really exciting how much you can remember with just 3 photos. I invite you to do this exercise of life while we are at home.

Traveling is nice; remembering trips and writing them down is adorable.
Thanks for reading. I hope you enjoyed the tour.

Infinite greetings!
