By tradition, this event is always held one day after the Sultan coronation. The ritual is conducted in accordance with the long years of inherited tradition. Usually, the ceremony is attended by a lot of people, most whom want to get blessing from the Creator of the world. Labuah is held in Parang Kusumo beach where there is a cave on the side of sea. The cave is believed the place of meeting between the founder of Mataram Kingdom (first name of Yogyakarta ) with the ruler of south sea , Quen of South sea. She is not human, she is a kind of unseen creaters that rules south sea. Some Javanese people still believe in her existence until now.
