  1. Chittagong - Sylhet - Sunamganj

Our route was Chittagong-Sylhet-Sunamganj

May 31 - At 9.45 pm we take the "Udayan Express" train from Chittagong station to Sylhet. (Rent: AC-625, non-AC 360 rupees)

June 1 - The train arrives at Sylhet station at around 8 am. After a light breakfast at the station, we take a taxi to Kumargaon bus stand. From Sylhet station we get CNG at Tk 25 per person. Direct non-stop gatelock bus service to Sunamganj is available from Kumargaon bus stand. The rent is 100 rupees each. The bus dropped us off at Sunamganj new bus stand. We take direct CNG from Sunamganj new bus stand to Tahirpur Bazar. Although the reserve is always 500 rupees, but we fix CNG with 450 rupees.

After reaching Tahirpur Bazar, the main work is at 5 o'clock.
1: Fix the boat
2 করা Entering the name in the police station, it costs 100 rupees here. He will go to the police station with the boatman for security
3: to market
4: Renting a life jacket with a boatman. If you go by yourself, you will rent 60 rupees, if you take it in the middle, you will take 50 rupees
5: If the boat does not have solar panels, then IPS rent.
[If the boat has battery + panel, only IPS will charge 100 rupees. We rented a battery + IPS in the middle for 250 rupees]

We did not have to go to Tahirpur to rent a boat. Because we already have
I rented a boat. Our boatman was Mubarak Mama. He is a very good man. Before we reached Tahirpur Bazar, he called us at least 5/6 times. He also received us at Tahirpur Bazar. They will spend the night on the 1st and take off at Tahirpur Bazaar on the 2nd at noon and cook three meals a day.
If you want to spend the night in Howrah, you have to go down to Tahirpur market before leaving the boat
There were 10 of us, including 13 boatmen.
Mubarak Mama himself helped us to market.
At the end of the market, the journey started for Tanguar.

First spot: Watch Tower.
It's a lot like Ratargul from above. Here you can take a bath, but with a life jacket. We boarded a boat near the Watch Tower, and after bathing, we ate and drank in the shade of a tree.
Second Spot: Anchorage at Takerghat and overnight at Howrah.
The sun went down shortly after we left for Takerghat after eating.
The sunset from the boat is much more beautiful .... !!!
Another entry has to be made at Takerghat. At the border police outpost. The boatman will take it himself, it will not cost any money here. I anchored the boat and went to the market with Mubarak Mama. After buying water and necessary iftar items, we returned to the boat and had Iftar together on the roof of the boat.
At the same time, I asked Mubarak Mama to fix the bike to show the spot the next morning. 250 per bike. 2 people can sit. Show all spots -

  • Barikka Tila
  • Magical river
  • Lakmachhara
  • Playing
  • Shimul Garden
The night haor is very, very beautiful. The bright stars in the sky, the silence all around is a strange atmosphere. The feeling of spending the night in Haor cannot be understood. However, there is no risk in the middle of the haor. It can be enjoyed in peace here. But if you sleep, you will miss the beauty of night to dawn.

June 2 - I wanted to leave at 5.30 am but could not because of heavy rain. When the rain subsided, it was about 8.30 am.
First goes Barikka Tila. The magical river below Barikka Tillar, Bangladesh in front, the mountains of Meghalaya in India behind. Really awesome one scene.
There are border pillars here.
Standing on the Barikka hill, I saw the magical river. Since it is not Shimul's season, I did not go to Shimulbagan. It will be time to return from here.
Then comes Lakmachhara. Two hills on both sides, Bangladesh-India border before the bridge in the middle!
From there I got back to the boat, had breakfast and reached Tahirpur and started my journey towards Sylhet city.
Arriving in Sylhet in the afternoon, I checked in at Zindabazar Hotel Anurag. I book 2 rooms for three days at 6000 rupees. Freshened up at the hotel, everyone sat down to watch the Bangladesh-South Africa match.

June 3 - Destination Bichnakandi-Ratargul-Lalakhal. We had already fixed the car. Laguna by car. Our driver was Kabir Mama. He is an extraordinary and very helpful person. The biggest thing is that he is very punctual.
