Reserve "Dziki Ostrów" - a real gem of nature for nature lovers
Spring is coming soon. With her, many of us will begin this year's escapades. Some will look for distant, sometimes exotic destinations outside our country. Others will focus on places known and less known in the country. And I would like to offer everyone a reconnaissance in the vicinity of your place of residence. You can find real gems that are close to us.
I did such a reconnaissance a few months ago near Bydgoszcz - the place where I currently live. Then, browsing the popular Google Maps, I came across the mysterious Reserve "Dziki Ostrów". I quickly realized that this could be a very interesting place for a nature lover. I went there with my other half for the first time in September last year. The visit resulted in a series of photos.
An educational trail leads through the reserve. Following it we pass beautiful, old trees, mostly oaks. Sometimes we can feel like in the Bialowieza Forest. There are fallen trees on the ground (so-called excavations). Nobody removes them, because it is a protected area. The lying trees are very impressive. This image makes us realize what the original forest once looked like. The lush vegetation of the medium forest floor in the form of shrubs and low young trees (the so-called undergrowth) complete the picture. Is beautifully. A man in such a place forgets about his own problems and flashy civilization. It can be in a different world for a moment - calmer, more beautiful, more friendly.
