Hello! This week I will share a series of writings on how to travel without leaving home.

¡Hola! Esta semana compartiré una serie de escritos sobre cómo viajar sin salir de casa.

Lately I've been very hungry for information on how to best cope with our remaining days of confinement, and thanks to conversations with career colleagues, articles I've read, and other actions I decided to apply to my routine at home, I made a list of ideas that can help our minds go to interesting places while our physical body remains safe on the edges of our sweet home.

Últimamente he estado muy ávida de información sobre cómo sobrellevar de la mejor manera los días que nos quedan de confinamiento, y gracias a las conversaciones con colegas de la carrera, artículos que he leído y otras acciones que decidí aplicar a mi rutina en casa, elaboré una lista de ideas que pueden ayudar a que nuestra mente recorra lugares interesantes mientras nuestro cuerpo físico permanece a salvo en los linderos de nuestro dulce hogar.

The first tip: See your photos from past trips

La primera recomendación: Contempla tus fotos de viajes pasados

I really like a short sentence by Eduardo Galeano about what it means to remember: to go through the heart again. And that is where we go when we review our photos from past trips: heart and mind are tuned to return to that adventure that marked us forever, thoughts fly to familiar land where anecdotes perhaps forgotten come to light, which take us to an emotional journey of great satisfaction.

Me gusta mucho una breve frase de Eduardo Galeano sobre lo que significa recordar: volver a pasar por el corazón. Y es que por ahí pasamos cuando revisamos nuestras fotos de viajes pasados: corazón y mente se sintonizan para volver a esa aventura que nos marcó para siempre, vuelan los pensamientos a terrenos ya conocidos donde salen a la luz anécdotas quizá olvidadas, que nos trasladan a un viaje emocional de mucha satisfacción.

So this is the exercise: look at those travel photos and put together a folder with your favorites, the ones that make us travel to those pleasant moments, and if there is that possibility and you feel creative, print those photos and create a personalized album with some brief anecdotes that remind you of those moments.

Así que este es el ejercicio: hurgar en esas fotos digitales y armar una carpeta con las favoritas, aquellas que nos hacen viajar a esos momentos tan gratos, y si existe esa posibilidad y tienes la vena creativa a millón, imprimir esas fotos y crear un álbum personalizado con algunas breves anécdotas que te recuerden esos instantes.

I applied this advice, and so I traveled a long time to Chuao, a beautiful Venezuelan spot on the Caribbean coasts, where I lived incredible days between sun, sea, jungle, cocoa plantations and pleasant company. These are the photos that I liked the most.

Yo hice ese ejercicio, y así viajé un buen rato a Chuao, un hermoso paraje venezolano en las costas caribeñas, donde viví días increíbles entre sol, mar, selva, cacaotales y una agradable compañía. Estas son algunas de las fotos que más me gustaron.
