May days in Russia
And again spring. May holidays in Russia are a very pleasant time. The first of May is the day of workers' solidarity. This holiday would still be in the USSR and now continues in the new Russia.
The next holiday is a holy day for all Russian and Soviet people. It's Victory Day!
On May 9, 1945, the Great Patriotic War ended. This terrible event was already a very long time ago. But to this day, this war remains in the memory of the people, since everyone has relatives who died or suffered in that war. This is an injury that still hurts.
Early May is a great weekend and we can enjoy spring and nice warm May weather.
Earlier, in pre-pandemic times, these days we tried to go on a trip to some country. Very good spring in Spain and Italy. It's already warm like summer.
In central Russia, we also have good weather and very warm, but not like in Italy and Spain. But it can be cold too. A couple of years ago, there was a snowfall on May 9.
The weather is very good today. Yesterday it was about 5 degrees Celsius, and today it is already 20. All night long the strong wind changed the weather.
And now it’s very good to go to the forest. Despite the fact that it is forbidden to make a fire in the forest, you can find the opportunity to use a portable gas stove to cook some delicious food in nature, in the fresh air, to eat something simple and very tasty.
You can also go fishing.
This is a great pastime.
In short, even without Italy and Spain, we can arrange a good holiday for ourselves.
But I confess I miss paella and Barcelona. Florence and pasta.
