Every year 31 May is celebrated as a World No Tobacco Day. The aim and objective of doing so is to inform people throughout the world about the dangerous negative impact of Tobacco use. It also aims to talk about the practices of tobacco industries and the role of the World Health Organization in the fight against the tobacco epidemic and inform the public what people can do to achieve health and health for the protection of the upcoming generation.

In 1987, the member countries of WHO started observing the world no tobacco day to make people aware of the tobacco epidemic. This year the World Health Organization passed a resolution that 7 April will be celebrated as World No Smoking Day. Later in 1988, another resolution was passed which stated that 31 May would be observed as World Tobacco Day.

Different world organizations are striving to lessen the use of tobacco and also reduce all kinds of health effects related to the use of tobacco. But according to my opinion, the use of tobacco is increasing with time. Its cultivation and processing is increasing. Tobacco crops are growing every year and its processing industries are also increasing. In interviews with some local farmers according to their responses, the cultivation of tobacco crops is increasing annually because the demand in the market is increasing.
