Good day everyone and welcome to another beautiful Friday. I trust we are doing well both mentally and financially, today I would be participating in the ongoing TRX Friday initiative which was organized in order to promote the sale, holding and staking of Tron.

What is staking

This is the process of locking up a certain amount of your steem power so as to obtain the ability to perform special feature as well as rewards on the Tron Blockchain.

This include energy, bandwidth and voting of supee representatives.

This are essential resources which are used for performing operation on the Tron block chain.

They are used for performing even the most basic functions such as swapping one token for another or claiming of rewards from voting.

It goes without saying that without having any of the two users would be inquiring high gas fees hence it is always advisable that we stake our TRX for either energy of bandwidth as this helps to subsidize cost of transactions on the block chain.

When I discussed about different types of consensus mechanism earlier this week I mentioned proof of stake. As we know this form of concensus mechanism gives individuals the ability to make decisions on the platform through staking.

But on the Tron network staking alone doesn't give individuals the power to make decisions they are other factors such as hardware,. Trustworthy and amount you stake.

Hence you and I can't make major decisions on the block chain such as validating the next block.

But what we can do is this, we can use our staked Tron to vote those who are qualified as super representative and receive passive income from thier earnings.

This ensures that those who are super representative wont always be the ones voting them selves.

The process of staking

In order to stake ones Tron you would need to click on stake the image which is between swap and vote.

Next step you would be required to supply the percentage value of your portfolio you wish to stake.

I have chosen to stake 50 strong which is 75% of my active TRX balance.

After selecting the amount you wish to stake next would be confirmation of details and inputation of password

Process of voting

After staking your Tron for either bandwidth or energy the next step is voting for the super representative of your choice so as to earn passive income on the hour.

Click on the vote icon which is the last on the line.

From the list of available super representative you could pick any of your choice I normally pick bassed on which would give the highest return on investment.

Next we confirm all our details such as the staking amount and the super representative you are voting

Next we input out password to approve the transaction which I have just done above.

Conclusion

TRX Friday initiative is a really outstanding programe as it offers individuals the opportunity to learn alot about Tron and also make some money while doing so. Today I have only staked 50 steem but in the coming months I am planning to be increasing this number arithmetically.

I am inviting @swaylee @weasell and @ronindboss to participate in this initiative.
