We can divide cryptocurrency into two categories one is coins and another is tokens. Many of us may not know that there are many differences between tokens and coins. And these can be said to be two different things. So in today's post I will discuss these in detail. So let's get started. We all know about blockchain. Most crypto are connected by blockchain technology. Who have their own blockchain. We call them coins. That means you can create coins if you have your own blockchain.

On the other hand, if you have not your own blockchains. For example Bitcoin is a coin. Because Bitcoin has its own blockchain. Now if any crypto is created based on bit coin blockchain it can be considered as a token. More examples can be given such as Ethereum. Ethereum is very popular nowadays. And using ethereum usdt is created. So we call it token. But Ethereum is the coin. Because it has its own blockchain.

Now let's talk about which one is better for us between tokens and coins. First of all if we go to the crypto market we will see that most of the coins are in the top-10. The number of tokens in the top-10 is less. If you have 100-200 cryptos you can generate tokens. But it is not possible to generate coins with 100-200 cryptos. Multi million cryptos are required to generate coins. And so many coins need their own blockchain to run properly.
