Bitcoin Halving Bitcoin is only 7 days left to be halving. After 7 days, Bitcoin will start halting. Then if someone mines Bitcoin he will get half the rewards than before. As a result, it will be seen that the supply of Bitcoin in the market will decrease. This will increase the price of Bitcoin in the market. This is basically the theory of the bull market. It means that if Bitcoin is hobbling, the price will increase as a result of the decrease in rewards.

When the price increases naturally, people will be interested in investing more. People will invest in many coins out of that interest. And as a result the coins will pump. By doing this we will see a good pump in the entire crypto market. When the selling pressure bull market comes, everyone wants them to earn good income and that's why they will mainly sell coins. And as a result of selling coins, it will be seen that the price of Bitcoin will decrease again. Then slowly it will stay at a good price and then basically we will see a stable market.
Coins will be pumped when people move from bitcoins to other coins. It means that everyone is still interested in Bitcoin and everyone is still investing in Bitcoin. Many people are thinking about why ETF approval did not come to the bull market. In fact, when people's interest comes to Altcoin, its price will increase.

In the long haul, I am sure the price of BTC will increase, but I am curious to see how the markets will react immediately before and after the halving... will it be a selling event, or will people immediately think that BTC got scarce, and buy more?

However, the Bitcoin halving is still a few days away, after which when the Bitcoin market will be in limited supply demand will generally increase and its value will increase as well. Also then we can see other alt coins increase in value as well, which is a big reason you mentioned in your post.
First may be it will down or may be it will move slowly. But ultimately it will pump. But I am confused on Altcoin may be it will take more time to get pump.
