Greetings to distinguish members of Tron-Fan-club. My today’s article will be base on an assignment on Review of Opensea given to us by Sir @sagor1233.
I’m an artist so I believe that this assignment is a great privilege for me to take my art experience to another experience.

QUESTION: Read the first tutorial and Review this marketplace with your own thoughts

Programmed in 2017 by three American developers by name Devin Finzer, Brian Roberts and Nadav Hollander, Opensea is the top ranking market place to trade Non-fungible token (NFT). It is allows artists, buyers and collectors to trade NFT either at a fix or bid price and mint free NFTs as well. Opensea operates using Polygon and Ethereum smart contract (ERC-721). It reputation have give it a value of approximate $13.3billons. Opensea application is now available for both Android and iOS.

In the pass 24hrs, Opensea record a trading volume of 25.16k ETH, a total number of 23,400 users as stated in dappradar

Opensea interface depends on the type of phone and browser used. An iOS user will notice some slight change in display when compared with Android but nevertheless, the operation is still the same and unique.

The front page is arranged such that a visitor can easily reach out to need. On the top right, there’s a search bar and option bar.

A click on the option bar will lead the user various features such as explore, stats, resource, account, my wallet and night mode. Each of this feature have a sub features. Example: The explore button will expose user to all categories of NFTs etc. Clicking on All NFTs will show the user every NFTs but in a mixup pattern. As such, it is advisable to select the category of NFT that a user want to view e.g sport, photography, art etc.

The Stats button shows top ranking NFTs and Activity.

The Resource button comes under stats. It link user to help center, gas free market place etc. It is this button that one can use to learn more about Opensea.

The next in line is Account, wallet and night mode button. Account is used to create an account, wallet button is for connecting a wallet and night mode is used to change background from white to dark/night mode

Note: I’m using night mode


Back to the front page. Scrolling down, a user will see list of notable drops and top ranking collection within 24hrs. Trending NFTs and many more. At the end of the front page, there’s link to opensea’s social media account e.g Facebook and Instagram etc.


QUESTION: How to create an account on Opensea

There are different wallet options for one to choose. that a user can connect in order to create Opensea account. If a user option is not available on the first interface, he/she have to click Wallet connect and a list of all the wallet will show up.

I’ve been a long time user of MetaMask. As such, it remains my choice. I clicked it and my Metamask wallet opened automatically. I proceeded to click on METAMASK, waited for some seconds before it connected.

QUESTION: Indicate how to setup your account as a professional

Setting up account as a professional gives a user some privilege of attracting good buyers and collectors.
Below are the few steps;

• Step 1: Click on the top right Option button, select ACCOUNT then click on PROFILE.

• Step 2: I clicked on profile picture and uploaded my art logo. I clicked setting and continued the setup process.
  I uploaded my Profile Banner, add and verify my email address and twitter account. Then clicked save and previewed for confirmation.

QUESTION: Mint your own NFT and write a short blog about it

• Step 1: On the homepage, I clicked CREATE. My file (photo) is already less than the maximum size so there’s no need to reduce it.

• Step 2: I typed the name (Maiden with pets), proceeded to description and wrote about it.

I scrolled down to Blockchain. Opensea operates on fours different blockchain network (Ethereum, Klatyn, polygon and Solana). Exception of Polygon, others charge fee for minting so I changed from Ethereum to Polygon.

I reviewed all my selections and details then clicked CREATE. I clicked on the CAPTCHA and my NFT was successfully mint.

QUESTION: List your own NFT and write a short blog about it.
Minting an NTF is not the last step to making it available for purchase just like produced goods are distributed to shop(s) with a price tag, an NTF should place on Sell with price tag. Here is the step to carry out.

• Step 1: Click the SELL button. On the pop up interface, input the amount (0.1 ETh equivalent to $206.35). Then changed my duration to 6 months which is the maximum and clicked on COMPLETE LISTING.

• Step 2: I clicked UNLOCK in order to unlock selling and currency functionality.

• Step 3: I switched my network polygon by customizing it.

Conclusion

Opensea is a nice platform for marketing NTF. Although I’m an artist but relented on joining it. However, this assignment have help me to start marketing my charcoal art on it, aforesaid.
