What is Polygon

Polygon was launched in October 2017 by Sandeep Nailwal, Jayanti Kanani and Anurag Arjun. Polygon is a decentralized ethereum scaling platform that developers can create dApps. Polygon basically solves a layer 2 scaling, this polygon can solve the problem of blockchain scalability.

Because polygons can transact up to 65,000 per second. Creating dApps over the Polygon network has the advantages of security and low transaction fees. Polygon Network has a native token, named MATIC. The MATIC token is created on ERC-20. The MATIC token is used for payment services on the Polygon network.

Polygon can easily scale the plasma framework by combining the plasma framework and the proof-of-stake blockchain. The Polygon platform allows the creation of decentralized financial applications in the blockchain, according to Polygon, 7000+ dApps have used the Polygon platform.
