An impersonation scam is another type of scam that scammers make use of today to scam individuals.
It is a type of scams in which the perpetrator who is the scammer takes on the identity of another, just for the aim of deceiving a person or a group of persons.
This form of scams can readily take place in different methods, it can take place through phone calls, through texts, through in-person communication.
The aim of the perpetrator is to deceive his targeted audience and gets vital information or Financial properties from them.
This scammers come in different clothing, they might come as a government agencies and then place a charge on the citizens/victims and depend a form of immediate payment as compensation for the crime committed.
FAKE AIRDROP
Fake airdrop is another type of cryptocurrency scams that is common in our world today.
In this form of scam, the scammers try to trick their audience into participating in fake airdrops, promising them good rewards when they participate in the airdrop.
We know aidrop to be a legal marketing strategy of promoting a blockchain projects and making the public become familiarize with the project's token, but scammers use this to their advantage.
They tend to take advantage of the fact that users are interested in airdrops, and then use this means to scam them off their asset.
This scammers use different marketing tools to attract users into their fake project, they make use of social media, messaging platforms and other effective forms of campaign.
Users fall victim to this scams because scammers make use of the same strategy as the legitimate ones.
CONCLUSION
We have considered 2 different types of scams that if we are not careful enough, we will fall victim into.
We need to be careful when giving out sensitive information to untrusted sites.
