Resources to help find Airdrop

It usually takes 1-2 months after the completion of the airdrop before you receive your tokens. This is mainly due to the fact that many airdrops are held before or during token sales (in order to increase awareness of the target audience), and tokens are not distributed until the end of the primary sale.

To check your wallet and see if you got free tokens, just visit Etherscan and enter your ETH address there.

We are interested in the field circled in red. If the token has already appeared in your wallet, it will be displayed there. If the Token Tracker column is empty, it means that you have not received any airdrop tokens yet.

When you finally receive your long-awaited tokens, you can withdraw them directly through services such as Ether Wallet (MEW). All you need to do is go to your wallet (via MetaMask, Ledger Nano or any other way) and select the token you want to withdraw.

Airdrop Scams

With all these promises of free coins, it's easy to lose your head and start clicking on everything. Therefore, I will give you some tips not to fall for the bait of scammers:

Never send any private keys. You don't need a private key to check your wallet balance. If someone needs it, they can easily do it with the help of tools such as Etherscan. Check official sources. If the developers of the token airdrop, they are very likely to mention it on their social media accounts, such as Twitter. So check it out first and make sure the airdrop is actually official; otherwise, you may become a victim of scammers who collect personal data.
Don't send any money. Remember: airdrops are free. An airdrop may require you to have some token, it may just appear in your wallet, but it will never require you to send any token to another address. If you are asked to do this, stay away from such an "airdrop".

Above you can see an example of a scam airdrop. The first wake-up call is the fact that the tweet asks you to transfer ETH. But the scammers have gotten smarter lately. If you check the comments on the post, you will see 8 replies there - and 7 of them, colorfully describing the profit received, were sent from fake accounts. The eighth one belongs to the author of this article - in it I try to warn people about fraud.

If you look at the profile itself, you will see that it has over 3,000 followers, but the first tweet was sent less than 24 hours ago (relative to the time the fake airdrop was posted). Do you understand what I mean? The developers of the token, which is said to have been able to raise 8 million euros, started twittering less than a day ago ? If the story seems suspicious to you, then somewhere nearby there really is a decaying corpse. Don't believe in this fairy tale.

The image attached to the tweet is another signal - look for clumsy work with fonts that do not match the style of the ad. This scam is just a blueprint for red flags. A simple Google image search reveals that the fake token logo actually belongs to Thrive.

Try to approach all airdrops critically and try to find reasons why they might be fake in the first place. With this approach, you will surely be able to sniff out a divorce from afar.

This brings us to the end of part 3...
