MEEBITS NFT NFT Collection : MEEBITS is a collection of 20,000 unique 3D non-fungible tokens (NFTs) created by Larva Labs, the team behind the Cryptopunks project. The project aims to provide utility in the form of 3D models that can be animated and potentially used in a variety of ways within the metaverse. Meebits has established a decentralized autonomous organization called MeebitsDAO to support the development of its ecosystem and metaverse.

Now let me give some history of MEEBITS NFT collection:The MEEBITS NFT project was created by Matt Hall and John Watkinson, co-founders of Larva Labs.[1][2] They collaborated with the founders of Yuga Labs, Who brought the Profile Picture Project (PFP) and their community operating and growing expertise.

The inaugural Mibits NFT collection was launched on May 4, 2021 by Larva Labs. The collection consists of 20,000 algorithmically generated 3D characters, rendered in voxels and linked to NFTs on the Ethereum blockchain. Mibits sold out within 8 hours of launch, generating 22,500 ETH in sales (equivalent to $75 million at the time). Community members credit the launch's success in part to Larva Labs' previous project, CryptoPunks, launched in 2017.
