This art features one of the best things about someone’s life. We all grew up playing video games. We have fond memories of playing video games for hours and hours. This art is to commemorate our time and memories while playing video games.The retro gaming controller, a timeless artefact of gaming history, sparks a surge of nostalgia and adrenaline as it takes centre stage in the hands of a passionate gamer. With its robust design and iconic button layout, it becomes a conduit to a bygone era, where pixels ruled and 8-bit melodies played the soundtrack of adventure. The click of the buttons, the satisfying resistance of the D-pad, and the unmistakable grip transport players to a golden age of gaming. Each press and twist of the joystick is a tactile journey through the annals of gaming history, resurrecting memories of epic battles, high scores, and the sheer joy of discovering hidden levels. The retro controller is not just a tool; it's a time machine that propels gamers back to a simpler yet infinitely captivating pixelated universe, where every victory tastes sweeter, and the only cheat code needed was a passionate heart.

Concept

This art is inspired from a NES controller and Xbox controller. I have combined the two to make a retro looking game controller

Step 1
Create a canvas for this project I created a 1000x1000 pixel canvas, you can choose any size you want but make sure you make your art in 1:1 ratio. Create a canvas and fill the background with orange colour and black stroke on the outside, make sure that stroke is very visible and bold.

Step 2
Now take the pen tool, use it to create the shape of a controller, be cautious about the anchor points and the curves. Alternatively, you can take circles and a rounded rectangle to make the body of the controller, paint it grey and use a thick stroke for this as well .

Step 3
Then use circles and rectangles to make the D-pads for the controller, don't forget to use rounded rectangles as itt gives a more elegant look.

Step 4
Now go to the right side of the controller and make four circles, use different colours.Make sure to give them a border as well to complete the look.

Step 5
Now make sure to use the alignment tool to alignthe items properly, you don't want unaligned objects in your art.

Step 6
Now use the circle tool to make two identical circles, also make a smaller circle, use the colours shown above and layer it like it is shown.

Step 7
Now for the middle part take a rectangle and make it round, after that use a colour that creates a contrast with the background. Make sure to give it a thick border as well.

Step 8
Create a duplicate of that and put them side by side and use the align tool to align the objects properly
