Saturday

Last weekend was a bit calm, everything went normal as usual the kids were home and a bit bored with no where to go. "Yewande" had her afternoon nap while "Tiara" was just moving around the house. I suggested to her that we should take a walk around our area, which she delightedly agreed to.

While returning from our walk, I asked her if she knew her way home, she answered "yes", so I allowed her take the lead while I follow her from behind, I just wanted to be sure she really knows her way home. See

I then remembered to take pictures of our area, the gutters, the beautiful houses and just near by areas. Before we finally got to our gate.

We got home and saw dada carrying Yewande, she was awake and was looking at "Tiara" like; where are these two returning from? They later requested for cold chocolate drink. We opened it and found the chocolate powder clumped together into mini shapes. You can trust Yewande to take over. While I managed part of it for tea.

Sunday

Today being Sunday, we decided to bath early, i cooked early, played a little then got ready to go visit grandma at Garki. Tiara wore her beautiful blue dress, according to her, her grandma will love it.

**Ride Along **

I got a ride from the app and we were on our way to grandma's place, I was enjoying the views and this time I did well taking pictures as we drove by, despite having my people around ☺️.

At Grandma's place

We got to grandma's place after the whole greetings and salutations we settled in and got into questioning our usual way. We asked Grandma about the birds that usually stay by her window, cos on that day we saw non.

She said oh!!!, fasting has made her forget to pour grains for them, she proceeded to do so after few minutes they were back to eat and tweet and do whatever they were doing.

**The Birds **

Grandma said when she lost her husband, she asked that they pour grains for them, but the birds refused to eat for like 5 days. I was blown away, wow I heard when you feed them they return with tiny gifts that they can carry and drop for you, she said yes some broken pieces of plastic and all of of that trash stuffs they can find.

Birds are pretty wise in their own way. Cos someone feeds you, in your own way you decided to atleast show appreciation as tweeting might not be properly interpreted. Bravo birdies 👏.

The Cat

In Grandma's house they have 2 cats, I am not a big fan of animals I love animals from a very far distance. But on that day we had to try a little to handle the cat coming in and out of the room. He wanted to see the visitors and to maybe play.

The cat had interest in the birds, he love to chase them. Although he actually wants to catch them to maybe probably eat. Grateful they had net covered windows demarcating the two animals from each other. But the cat refused to give up, he kept trying to catch them. Funny cat.

He later went to be with grandma, he sat on my lap while she stroked it gently.

The cat was just all over the room. From the window side to the curtain, on the flour bag and pasta bag then on the bed. That part got screams out of us, you can be around but not on the bed.

The Acceptance

We later had to learn to accept it that, after unsuccessfully trying to catch the birds in his act of surrender he will pass through the bed before we use pillows as shields and get him to wiggle his way back to the floor.

He surrendered.

Later on we went to sit in the living room to greet my cousin that just returned from the saloon and my other cousin from her parent's place. The cat was getting tired from all the jumping in trying to catch birds he could not get to, this time it was Yewande that decided not to let him be.

Yewande wanted him to play.

I had to ask Yewande to leave him alone as she was trying to carry him and all that, it was very uncomfortable for me cos of their claws I worry that they could use it at anytime. He later slept, finally.

I wanted to book a ride again so we could leave but cousin Esha refused and drove us home instead, we stopped at the fuel station to get fuel before we continued our journey.

I still made sure I got few pictures again while on transit. I had to sit at the seat behind her but we talked through our ride about many and everything we could think of. It was a sweet drive by home .

The kids were happy as feeling really free as they knew it was their Aunty's car and there was not need to stress but to play a little and just chill. We had a smooth ride. Cousin Ummi gave us post birthday gift before we left the house. It was a pink Bluetooth microphone. Trouble! trouble!! trouble!!!

Well we will learn to manage the expected singing noise from our practicing singers and maybe motivational speakers and ear drum shakers 😁.

We got home safely, thanked aunty Esha and went in to offload and settle in. Then went to the kitchen to get food, as I cooked before leaving and at Grandma's place, they were fasting so it was just some light snacking for the kids while we were there.
