Dear friends, I hope you are all doing well. Alhamdulillah, by Allah's endless grace, I am also doing well. Today I have come to participate in my dear @ashkhan sister's engagement competition. She has given a very beautiful discussion on pain-related topics. This is exactly how I will learn myself, teach others, and diagnose diseases. Let's get started.


Task 01

Achilles tendonitis is the inflammation of the largest tendon in the back of the foot. This inflammation occurs for several reasons. Since it is the largest tendon in the body and the tendon of the foot, it is under a lot of pressure, which causes inflammation in this tendon, and pain. This pain increases when people create too much pressure on their body and do too much work. Due to walking, carrying weight, and exercising, the tendon is under pressure, resulting in inflammation.

Causes of Achilles tendonitis:-
  1. First of all obesity, this is one of the reasons for Achilles tendonitis.

  2. Next, wearing uncomfortable shoes.

  3. Excessive walking.

  4. Aging.

Types of Achilles tendonitis:-
  • 2 types of Achilles tendonitis
  1. non insertional Achilles tendonitis

  2. insertional Achilles tendonitis.

Sign symptoms of Achilles tendonitis:-
  • stiffness

  • pain in tendon.

  • Increased pain while running.

  • Swelling of the feet

Diagnosis:-
  1. The pain should be diagnosed by applying pressure to the painful area.

  2. The patient should be asked to walk and the patient should be asked about the pain.

  3. The next step is to confirm with an ultrasound.


Task 02

In my patient's case, he was experiencing pain in the back of his foot, that is, in the tendon, due to excessive walking, and he felt this pain more while walking and using stairs, so I conducted several tests on him to confirm, as a result of which I realized that he had Achilles tendonitis.

To diagnose his disease, I first applied pressure to the back of his foot, he said he felt pain,

Then to be more sure, I asked him to walk, he also felt pain, so I advised him,

First, home treatment:
  1. Ice therapy:- Apply it to the painful area for some time.

  2. Rest:- I advised him to rest for a few days, I advised him to avoid heavy work, excessive walking, and running.

  3. Exercise:- I advised him to do some types of exercise.


Task 03
The best protocols for plantar fasciitis are mentioned below:-
  1. Ice therapy

  2. proper rest

  3. exercise Calf stretch,Towel stretch,Heel raises

  • Calf stretch:- Increases blood circulation in the tendon,
Helps reduce pain.
  • Towel stretch:- Helps reduce inflammation. And reduces pain quickly.

  • Heel raises:- Increases blood circulation, helps reduce inflammation, reduces inflammation in the tendon.
