Today, the recipe I am passionate about sharing with you is an easy Tomato Ketchup recipe. This means that all you require are a few ingredients and some simple procedures and without any doubt, you will have prepared the ketchup at home. Let's dive right in.

Tomatoes Red chilly powder

Step 1

cut the tomatoes into pieces right after I cleaned them really well. After that, put the tomato chunks in a pot and heat them up until they boil. bring it to a boil and then let it cool down.

Step 2

Step 3

The tomato puree needs to be strained through a strainer in order to achieve a smooth consistency to the finished product. It was done with great care by myself.

Step 4

Then, Transfer the tomato puree that has been drained into a saucepan and set it over medium heat. While keeping the stove at medium heat, stir the puree often to prevent it from adhering to the pan.

Step 5

When I noticed that the puree is beginning to thicken, gradually I added sugar, red chili powder, and salt into the mixture while conducting a taste test. Once the puree has reached a somewhat thicker consistency, I added a few drops of red food colorant to achieve a more intense color.

Step 6

Because vinegar keeps things fresh, it is suggested that vinegar be added to the recipe. then I added a little corn flour mixing with water and then add it to the ketchup until I get the consistency that I want.

Step 7

Lastly, spread chili flakes out evenly on top to give it an extra kick. A very important step is to let the ketchup cool down after it has hit the right consistency. Allow the ketchup to cool, then store it in a container that won't let air in, like a glass jar. Keep it in the fridge until you need it again.
