Just as I was planning a trip to Abu Dhabi, I remember the news that surfaced last year regarding one of the biggest scandals related to looted art traffic in years. There was an investigation, reported by the French newspaper Le Monde. The investigation implicated the director of the Louvre from 2013 to 2021, Jean-Luc Martínez, who, until he was suspended was the president of the scientific committee of the AFM (Agence France-Muséums), the agency that looked into the authenticity of the art pieces and where they came from.

The art piece on the photo was one of such investigated item
