"Worth and Ardor"

Sometimes in forever,
One may realize that
a personal and unequivocal pact
to never abandon Oneself
is an indispensable requisite
for acceptance and change
that will eventually lead to lucidity and
discernment of significant things in life.

That people's actions are beyond our control
That people's emotions cannot be forced
That some people cannot be held liable
That people are diverse
That one cannot be obliged to take responsibility -
for your contentment
for your vigor
for your hurt
for your bliss.

Perhaps, one ought to have a pact to Oneself
That in spite of ruthlessness and savagery
that may come in different guise
May you never, under no circumstances,
be still in a puddle
that will certainly not bring you
a child-like laugh.

Never lose that ardor to constantly
pursue YOU.
Never hurt YOU.
Never abandon YOU.
