The Summer Rains Cleanse The Earth

The summer rains cleanse the earth
The birds bring forth songs with all their mirth
Gardens abound with buzzing of the bees
The sun filters through the stately old trees.

People sit and enjoy the sun
Good to be out and about and having fun.
Dark corners are brightened by light
Gloomy attitudes fade out of sight.

Children run to and fro
Laughing out loud as they go
Climbing the fences, climbing the trees
hide and seek
grazing their knees.

As we get older let us not forget
to laugh and sing
and joy to others, we should bring.

Sometimes money and and earthly woes
Like a cancer in our heart grows
We forget the joy
that perhaps,
only a child knows.
