INSANE DIY HOMESTEADER HACK!
It was do or die time, and I didn't want to die, LOL!
I did not have the tool I needed. I needed to be able to run a socket set off of my impact drill, but I didn't have any attachment available. Town was a half hour away, so that would be more than an hour round trip... If I could create my own attachment in less an hour, it would save me time and a trip.
Soon I was cutting a piece of rebar and shaping it with a grinder. Amazingly, it was a success and worked to help me finish my project. If you're in a tight spot, get creative and try your best. You just might succeed. I sure did!
It is always good to be able to improvise! Another thing that can be really handy is to pick up a number of tool kits from yard sales, estate sales and more. Having an extra shelf of tools in the shed allows one to explore and find the missing tool.
