What is a public IP address?

A public IP address is an IP address that can be accessed over the internet and this IP address is assigned to a device by the carrier network.

The public IP address is different from the private IP address. The private IP address can only be access within the network.

For security reasons, do not share your IP address as they can be tracked and accessed by hackers to infiltrate your network or device.

How to check your public IP address

• Simply open you Google search and type "What is my IP address". The search result will display the public IP address assigned to the device by the career network. This process can also be done on your PC. It will display the public IP address of the system.

For security reasons, I have blurred out my IP address, but when you search yours, you'll get the complete IP address. And like I said before, do not share your IP address with anyone.
