SIZ Contest | Visit My Hometown | My Entry

Hello, fellow Steemit users. To each and every person, their hometown holds a special place in their heart. The person is aware of the specialties and other special places about their hometown and recommends it to other people to come to visit their hometown. This contest gives me the wonderful opportunity to talk about my own hometown. So, I will begin with my entry.

The question to be answered -

Write how you can spend an interesting day in your town , what places/sights to visit and where to eat, and please indicate how much it all costs! (Prices are better to show in Steem at the current exchange rate)

I am from the lovely city of Lucknow in India. Lucknow is the capital of the state of Uttar Pradesh. It is also known as the city of Nawabs.

If you want to spend the day in Lucknow, then I would recommend you to first visit The Bada Imambra. It is also, famously known as Bhool Bhulaiya. The rumor stands true about this place, that if you wander around here without a guide, then you might get lost. It is a vast monument with plenty of rooms and chambers. The pathways and gateways are so confusing to remember. It was built by the Nawab of Lucknow, Asaf-ud-Daula in 1784. The ticket costs around 13 Steem.

The next place to visit after that is The Chota Imambara. It can be referred to as a smaller version of the Bada Imambara, However, it is much more beautiful. The gardens surrounding it are also very nice. The ticket here as well costs around 13 Steem. Then, the next place to go visit is the Clock Tower. The three of these monuments are located in close vicinity to one another.

For breakfast, you must visit Sharma Ji Ki Chai for tea and band-makhan. It costs around 1 Steem. Then, you must visit the Bajpai Kachori Bhandar to have their famous Kachori and Sabji. It is very tasty and quite famous. It costs around 1 Steem as well for one person.

Then, one must visit the Gomti Nagar River Front in Lucknow for some walks and to enjoy the view. The RiverFront is very beautiful and the ticket costs only 0.28 Steem per person. Then, one can also visit the Janeshwar Mishra Park. This park is also the largest garden in Asia. There are many rides, greenery, and small places to have snacks all around the park.

For lunch, you must visit the famous, or I should say world-famous Tunday Kebabi in Lucknow. Lucknow has always been famous for its food. The nono-veg here outmatches any other place in the world. Tunday Kebabi is very famous for its kebabs. A lunch would cost around 7 Steem.

After lunch, one can do some shopping at the Phoenix Palassio mall. It is the biggest mall in Lucknow with stores from almost every brand. The mall itself takes a lot of time to visit and there are many different things to do there. After visiting the mall, you can go for dinner in a number of fabulous restaurants. There are many good ones, to be honest. I would recommend going to Dastarkhwan. the food offered there is very delicious and their service is also good. A dinner would cost around 14 Steem.
