The advent of Meta, formerly known as the Facebook company, in the 21st century is no mere evolution. Growing up, I had to accept the fact that I am introverted. This implies that I spend most of my time indoors, away from the crowd and stuck to my phone all day long. Before this time, I either kept myself busy with drawing, writing or daydreaming until Meta came along. Soon I began to spend time with others in the virtual world, thus, improving my social life. But there is more to this.
Meta is not just a mere social platform where people can while away time. For the past 3 years, I have come to appreciate its very existence and dedication to user's development. My two favourite services are Facebook and WhatsApp.
The Facebook app comes in two versions:
- Facebook main app
- Facebook Lite
Each of them is designed to serve different purposes and users. Both versions have the following features in common:
- Story: a place where people can share their daily activities. It disappears after 24 hours.
- Newsfeed: a feed that contains content from users' friends and people they follow.
- Timeline: Users have to option to post what is on their minds as many times as possible.
- Messenger: a section for creating chatrooms.
- Reactions etc.
They also have some distinctive features.
- To me, I consider the Lite version to be cost-effective especially for students as it consumes minimum data compared to the main app.
- The Lite version has a limited word space for timeline posts.
Meta makes every day's experience memorable by suggesting posts that it considers relevant to a particular user. It does not pop up a lot of ads. And provides features that are beneficial for users' safety such as two-way authentication, block and report.

It also comes in various versions like WhatsApp messenger, WhatsApp business and GB WhatsApp etc. Each messaging platform has the following features in common.
- Chats: Messages appear here.
- Status: People get to share either written content or images.
- Calls: It shows the history of all the user's outgoing or incoming calls.
Using this application is much easier and user equitable because it has other options that like VN that is beneficial to visually impaired users. This also serves a whole lot of time from typing. Users can share and receive PDFs, APKs, other people's contacts.
These two apps support image sharing and capture memories.

I want to add something the Facebook has changed its name to meta because it want to get in the top of the curve.
A little history of metaverse. In 1992 when internet was still new. There's an American novelist named Neil Stephenson spoke about virtual reality. Virtual world is a world where people use digital avatars to walk talk and play online,he called it metaverse. Metaverse is composed of 2 words the word meta means beyond and the word verse comes from the word universe. Metaverse is an ideal place to visit specially in these pandemic when everyone is locked down. It's like living your imagination and stepping into the virtual world an internet world.

I guess this is where the misconception started.
