Fill the pot with soil. Stop putting soil in a pot when the top of the soil is 1 cm from the rim.

The pot should be about 3 to 4 inches wide, and 5 to 6 inches deep. This pot will suffice for one seed. Some people like to plant several seeds in one pot at a time. If you want to do this again, choose a larger pot.Your pot must have drainage holes. If your pot does not come in, you will need to drill some holes in the pot.

Make a hole 1 /2 inch deep in the soil of the pot. You can do this using your finger or using a pencil.

Choose seeds that look fat and plumming from lemon. It may be necessary to use organic lemon because non-organic lemon seeds may not germinate Consider planting 7 to 12 lemon seeds at a time, if some of the seeds do not germinate or do not exceed the seedlings - practice.Remember, the tree from which the seed sprouts is not the same as the parent tree from which it came. In some cases, the fruit produced by new plants is not very small. Sometimes, they do not bear edible fruit at all. This does not prevent a small tree from being attractive in appearance. Keep this in mind as you grow your tree.

Wash the seeds to remove a small coating. You can do this by washing the lemon seeds or by sucking them until the garment is gone. This is important. The gel-like cover contains sugar, which can cause the seeds to rot.

Put the seeds in the hole and cover it. Make sure the sharp point points down to the ground, and the round part points upwards towards you. The roots will protrude in a straight line and Cover the pot with a piece of breathable plastic to retain heat and moisture. Start by placing a clear plastic wrap sheet in the pot. Wrap the rubber band around the plastic wrap to secure it to the pot. Insert a few holes in the plastic wrap. You can use a pencil, toothpick, or fork. These holes will allow the plant to breathe.

Place the pot in a warm place. You can put the pot in a sunny place too, but sunlight is not important at this point. In fact, too much sun can “cook” small, delicate seedlings. You should see a sprout appear in about two weeks.

Water the soil when you see it dry. The plastic wrap should retain moisture, and the wrap should drop to the ground, making it wet again. In very dry areas, this may not happen.
