WHAT IS DIGITAL COMMUNICATION?
Simply put, digital communication refers to an organization's attempts to communicate online. Most businesses now utilize a variety of online channels to communicate with existing and potential customers, workers, and other stakeholders, ranging from their website to mobile chat to blogs.
So we will discuss some Digital communication sources including WhatsApp, Messenger, Instagram, and Snapchat.
1) WHATSAPP
WhatsApp was officially introduced in 2009. It was available at the iPhone play store but it was released on android in August 2010. WhatsApp is actually a free multiplatform messaging service that allows you to conduct video calls and phone conversations, also send text messages, and which could be done all over the web. WhatsApp is extremely popular among friends and family who reside in other countries and wish to keep in touch, with over 2 billion active users.
2) MESSENGER
Meta Platforms created Messenger, an instant messaging software and platform. Originally launched in 2008 as Facebook Chat, the firm redesigned its messaging service in 2010. Facebook Messenger is a free mobile messaging program that may be used for group conversations, instant messaging, and sharing photographs, videos, and audio recordings. The program, which is available for free download, allows you to chat with your Facebook friends as well as your phone contacts.
3) INSTAGRAM
Instagram is a free picture and video-sharing social networking platform. Instagram has grown in popularity since its inception as a method to engage with companies, celebrities, friends, family, and more. Instagram provides a wide range of capabilities, from short-form videos to live broadcasting.
The following is some interesting Instagram information:
Every second, nearly 995 photographs are uploaded to Instagram. You could make an idea yourself that how busy this app is. According to research, the food which has the most photographs is Pizza on Instagram. Furthermore, you know that In the United States, there are presently approximately 140 million Instagram users. 80% of Instagram accounts are used for personal purposes.
4) SNAPCHAT
Snapchat is popular messaging software that allows users to send and receive photos and videos (called snaps) that are designed to vanish after being seen. It's billed as a "new form of the camera" since its primary function is to shoot a photo or video, edit it with filters, lenses, or other effects, and then share it with friends.
On photographs exchanged between Snapchat users, end-to-end encryption is used. Snapchat text messages and other communications aren't secured by the same encryption.

I have learnt something new from this. Never knew the function of snapchat, I only saw it as another type of camera because of its filters.
