Greetings to everyone in this community. It's another Tech diary game and this time it would be on WhatsApp, a social media platform where you indulge in conversations with your contacts. There are special features that make this conversation and activities there interesting. One of such is WhatsApp status where what people post including photos, videos and links are visible to you.

WhatsApp status

This is an avenue where people post pictures, videos, links and write-ups for their contacts to see. The features in this WhatsApp status are exclusive to write-ups and media.You can write and post on your WhatsApp status.You can also select and restrict people from viewing your status.How to select and restrict people from viewing your status.

Restricting Contacts from viewing WhatsApp status

• Open the app

• Go to status

• Click the three vertical doted lines you see at
  the top right corner of your phone.

• Click on status privacy

• Click on my contacts except and then choose those you want to restrict from viewing your status and then click done

You can equally use the same format in sharing status with specific people.

Broadcast on WhatsApp and Creating New Group

Broadcast is a feature on WhatsApp where you select certain people from your contact and deliver a piece of information to them in their personal dm without opening the broadcast group. Here is how to go about it

• Open your WhatsApp app

• Click on the three dots at the top right corner of your phone

• Click on New Broadcast and then add the people you want to.

• Do same while creating a group.

Account Management

This has to do with setting your privacy, two-step verification and changing mobile number. You can actually choose from the varieties. Steps taken to achieve this are;

• Open the app
• Click on the three dots
• Click on settings
• Click on account and then choose the one that concerns you.

Chats Management

is a feature where you develop your chat and make it comfortable to chat. You can chat theme, language and wallpaper on your chat.

How to add and update Contacts on WhatsApp

• Open the app
• Click on the icon that looks like message icon below
• Click on refresh

• Click New contact to add contact and then the click the three dots above o as to find that contact when you search for it.
