Personally i feel investment decisions should not be taken by just you but you should also look out for advice and opinions of some other people
If you're a sole proprietor, then you have to take the decision yourself, but in a corporate organization, the Finance management (manager) team in particular are the ones responsible to make investment decisions, and it's not normally a hasty decision, they will scrutinized to see all the necessary risk before they invested into a particular venture.
