Monday, March 07, 2022, I have completed various activities and I have completed various work activities that have become my routine. In the afternoon around 16:30 WIB I came to meet my friends who were busy looking for fish in the rice fields. Every day he is busy with his activities, this is his hobby and has also become his livelihood in everyday life.

He is an expert in catching fish in rivers and also along the waters of rice fields. He has fishing nets, traps, spears and various other fishing equipment. He likes to hunt for freshwater fish which we often find in swamps, streams and also along the people's rice fields that stretch out. So, today I just met him and witnessed how his technique and way of working in catching these fish.

Today I saw him carrying a fish detector, this tool can also work well in making fish traps. This tool was specially designed by him by reading and comparing several specific guides listed on the internet. He is not an expert in the field of technology, but his curiosity is high so he tried it and as a result he was able to add a collection of tools for fish traps. This tool is very helpful in finding freshwater fish during the dry season like today.

The way this tool works is almost the same as various other simple machines, this tool is specially designed with a design that can be used and uses motorcycle battery power. At first glance it looks like a bag that is used on the shoulder, has two hanging straps and can be comfortably used when hunting fish. Then it has both arms of long wooden barrels for hunting fish, at the ends of which have been inserted iron which is connected by an electrically powered wire. So it is very easy to detect fish that are in the water of rice fields and swamps.

However, this tool is not yet legal to use, but I applaud the simple assembly machine that can help people's livelihoods. However, it should also be reminded that in using simple fish traps you have to be extra careful. It is recommended to use special rubber boots to prevent vibration and direct physical contact with electric power. And this is usually done by an expert and also has a special technique, only experienced people can use this simple fishing tool.

Today we managed to get a very adequate game, we saw several snakehead fish and other types of swamp fish as our prey. He also invited the two young teenagers to come with him, they were assigned to take the fish that had managed to get into the trap. This greatly facilitates his work in reaching several rice fields, according to him, there are many sources of freshwater fish. I think this is great, he is able to create one simple tool by utilizing various wastes and making it a tool that can help in his livelihood.
