Four habits we can use to improve ourselves.

Our sense of good life is the sum of things we do repeatedly. Our habits can make us or break us. It's what we consistently do that matters. So, let's dive into the habits which can improve our life for a better future.

1- Take care of your Body

What would be the essence of our life if our body is out of order. Whatever we achieve in life is done through this body. So, taking care of our body should be a top priority for positive improvements in life.

Being physically active throughout your life is not an option. It's mandatory. A physically fit body has a healthy mind. When we exercise our brain releases happy hormones which are crucial for our well-being.

E.g:Long. walks, yoga, mild exercises, and sports like badminton.

Be physically Active

When it comes to taking care of our body, exercise is the only thing people pay attention to. They neglect sleep, hygiene, taking rest, eating healthy,and taking care of our skin and hair.

Adds little habits like oiling your hair, soaking sunlight, eating food rich in fibers, and drinking water.

Eat Healthy, especially your Fibers

Our ancestors were taking care of each of these things. That's why they were more healthy than people these days.
Try to get 7-8 hours of daily night sleep, it maintains an ideal weight, and repairs our body.

2- Have purpose/passion in life

People having a purpose in life are expected to live longer than people who lack it. A book named ikigia has written on purpose, in which author has interviewed oldest living people on earth in Japan.

He find one thing common in each one of them, is that they never retire in life. They have some activities which bring meaning to their life or to the society.

This is the reason they live longer than the rest of the world.

Your purpose can be anything, which you enjoy doing, has positive impact on others, keeps your motivated to wake up every day with energy.

People having purpose also take care of the aspects which improves their life. Like eating healthy, engaing in positive environment, exploring new things and places, exercise, and getting rest when required.

A life without purpose is a boring and dull life

E.g: Teaching, Writing, Cleaning, Cooking, Gardening, Social Work, charity, and politics, anything can be your purpose.

3- Consciousness

Do you remain in the present or your mind jumps between the GRIEF of the PAST and the FEARS of the FUTURE?

Well, as we grow old we lose the track of present moment and get lost in the otherwise.

Be present, Be Conscious

Children live in the moment, focus on the activities they're doing, are proactive and alert in their talks. Which is the reason they're are happy and they sleep peacefully at night.

While doing something or simply doing nothing, we realise that our mind had lost the track. We wouldn't remember how did we do the task, our memory doesn't recall it. Because we were busy being anxious about the past or the future.
Consciousness is, knowing what is happening around us, inside us, being present in your daily tasks and conversations. It's about mindfuly watching videos on social media instead of aimless scrolling.

It's to feed good things, news, and knowledge in our brain (prefrontal brain which controls our conscious brain). Later on these habits become our subconscious brain and we do them on autopilot mode.

Recommendation to improve your Conscious Mind

You can read a book called power of subconscious mind to implement consciousness.

That's why there is a saying say good, watch good and do good.

4- Book Reading / Intellectual Activities

Those who don't read have no advantage over those who can't read.

Finally, wrapping up this post with my favourite habit, Book Reading.

They say, Readers are the leaders.

Read For your Brain

To improve your life, constant learing and upskilling are a must to do. And what is the great source of learning other than books?

Whether self help, philosophy, historical or fiction book, there is an element to learn from all.

Reading not only reduces stress but also improves memory, cognitive abilities, Writing and communication skills. It teaches you about everything happening in the world out there.

Big personalities from Bill gates to Warren buffet and Elon musk read books.
Bill gates has his summers, winters, and holidays collection of book which he reads each year.

They rely more on books for learning than wasting their time on social media.

Reading is the exercise for brain, it keeps your brain young.

So if you wanna improve your life, read each day for 30-60minutes.
