Hi fur-friends,
This is my first entry in this community and I'm happy to participate in this ongoing contest as it affects pets. Though, having pets could be challenging in its way but it is worth while caring and having a pet around.

For me, having pets is surely a symbiotic kind of relationship between both parties. Most often time we still feel we need them more than they need us. I don't have any now but surely will do. I've tried to bring in a puppy at home but still having a brick wall here. I believe it will show up at the right time.

There are many lessons one can learn from animals especially from the pets that can be useful if applied in real life situation. These attributes may vary from pets to pets but essential we decode this traits and learn from them.

3 LESSONS WE CAN LEARN FROM OUR PETS

(A) THEY EXHIBIT ACT OF LOYALTY
Though I don't own any pet for now, I have stayed with pet owners with their pets on different occasions especially dogs and cats owners. But from our little knowledge of how pets behave we can agree they are loyal creatures.
They run to us when we come back home and whine their tail in greeting, Protect us from threats even without us asking them to and show us unconditional love. They don't know if we are ugly, beautiful, broke or rich before exhibiting all this for us.

LESSONS LEARNT
This act of loyalty they display should be able to remind us how loyal we should be around people and especially people important to us in our lives (family and friends). We can be loyal to someone else by supporting their course in life, protecting them especially when they are not aware/around (this entails keeping confidential and essential part of their lives secret) and always stand in when needed. Pets loyalty remind us of how it feels to be on the receiving end of someone’s loyalty.

(B)THEY EXHIBIT ACT OF GRATITUDE

Pets especially the dog family are thankful in little things of life. One would wonder if they actually meant big to them or are they showcasing acts of appreciating.
This acts of gratitude maybe exhibited by their slobbery kisses or loud squawks. When they know they are about going out for a walk, you may see them jump around the house or in circles in happiness and appreciation. They don't hesitate to showcase their gratitude and appreciation immediately and offer is made to them.

LESSONS LEARNT
With the way this pet squawks or run around in circles in enthusiasm, it reminds me if I actually appreciate and have gratitude in things of life. How much do I appreciate little things that happens around me with enthusiasm and gratitude. Things must not happen big around us before we show signs of gratitude. This lifestyle shows there's something that we can be thankful for everyday in our lives.

(C)LIVE IN THE MOMENT
We are all aware of the super sensitivity of smell and recognition found in pets like dogs. Dogs only remember things like the location of its treats (spoils), routes to their homes and faces they have met before now. All this details, which they only remember and harness at the moment it is only needed. They only live for the present without much worries for the unknown future.

LESSONS LEARNT
We worry to much in life and need to cut off most of this worries. Issues of life never get exhausted but one strategy we need to apply is to live for the moment. The past has gone and nothing can be done about it. The future is unknown, the only thing one can really do is to enjoy and impact in the present moment.
