Cockroach from the order Blattodea, which is amongst the 3000+ species of insects that dwell most with primitive living winged insects. The cockroach is a flattened oval body, long antennae with a shining black or brown leathery integument. The head of a cockroach is bent downward while the mouthparts point inside instead of forward or downward as it is to other insects. Male cockroaches usually have two pairs of wings while the females known as (periplaneta in the botanical name) in some species, are wingless or have vestigial wings.

About the egg of a cockroach, the female produces eggs in egg cases called oothecae, which sometimes held protruding from her body or may be glued in protected areas. After the female lays an egg case, the soft white nymphs comes out. When their exoskeleton hardens, it changes color to brown, then the structure & large size also changes at that point. Some cockroaches had a wingspread of more than 4.7 inches that help them fly a very long distance.

Cockroaches love a warm, humid, dark environment that is found in tropical or other mild climates. Cockroaches damages more material than it consumes and emits a disagreeable odour. They feed on both plant and animal products, food, paper, clothing, and books that's occupied or filled with dead insects, especially bedbugs.

Which Specie Of Cockroach Do You See At In Your Environment :

In Nigeria there's a particular specie called American cockroach which comes from a native of Africa at the Middle East, its about 2cm long and its reddish brown in color and lives in dark eated indoor areas like wastes, sucker aways, toilet pipes, furnace rooms. They have good wings and 80% of them could fly well. In adult life about 1 year, the female deposits 50 oothecae which each contains roughly 16 eggs that hatch after 40-45 days. A cockroach nymphal life lasts from 11 - 14 months.
