SEC - S5W4: Reflection of the Day in the Dairy Game

Hello Steemians, I am excited to be taking part in this week's engagement contest. Today eventful for me, from having being locked outside at work to loosing all my work to traffic wahala in the evening. Read on and find out how my day went.

During school days, I usually wake up around 5am to help my elder sister whom I am staying with prepare her kids for school and leave for work. I woke up, observed my usual morning devotional, aside my morning devotion, I also love spending on an app called the Gratitude App. The app is one app that helps me start off my day on a good note. I don't joke with affirmations and gratitude, which the app helps me remember by providing daily affirmative words that I can say.

Traffic

The traffic was a bit okay this morning unlike how I normally meet in the way to work. With the clear road, I was able to get work on time by 7:58am

On arriving at the office, I discovered that my colleague had mistakenly locked the door the day before while the key was still inside. We didn't know what to do with this development, I called my boss and informed her of what had happened. She immediately sent a spare key through her son. The day couldn't get worse, when he came with the spare, it was discovered that they keys that he had grabbed were the wrong ones. Finally, our boss came herself with the right keys, which enabled us to open the door and start the day. My boss scolded my colleague for forgetting the key inside and warned her not to make the same mistake again because it could have been worse, she could have traveled.

One of the most annoying thing that happened to me today was the fact that I lost at least 3 content that I had prepared to upload for the Steemit engagement contest as at when due and a client's work which the deadline is tomorrow. I really don't know what happened, one minute I was working, the next minute the laptop I was working with had wiped all my work. At that moment, I dodn't know if I should laugh or cry but pull out the hair of my head. I angrily left the content I was supposed to upload to Steemit but has no option than to rewrite my client's own because the deadline was around the corner. Thank God she was satisfied by the end product when I submitted it to her.

Weather

The weather was cool, not too hot and not too cold. It was the perfect weather for people to go on and about their business. Ir was in the night as I was retiring for the day that it started raining. I was grateful for the weather which made me sleep well during the night.

I went to YouTube to check on current news only to see the news about the South Korea Iteawon stampede, that happened on the Halloween party on 31st October, that killer over 153 people with numerous injured. I was watching the events unfolding and couldn't help the tears that came out of my eyes, it is horrible. This is an annual event they held but it has been shutdown since the covid-19 pandemic, so I understood the crowd that came out to celebrate this year after missing it for 2 years now but I can't imagine being there because I get anxiety when I am crowded.

Watching that horror unfold made me understand how fast our life can be stuffed out. One minute they were celebrating, the next they were screaming and shouting in pains. One lesson I learned is that while having fun,I should also be mindful of my environment and be able to comprehend what to avoid.

Yes, everyday we learn even when we are directly looking for one. It could be from someone who helps us with our bags,holds the door for you, makes you smile, there is something to learn.
