SEC - S13W2 | For Reflection
It is another great opportunity to make my contributions here with the host of other talented authors. This is indeed a topic that emits reflection in its interpretation and application in our life experiences.
It is better to remain silent and look foolish than to speak and definitively dispel doubts. Groucho Marx |

When I read about this reflection quote, I laughed deep inside of me and remembered that this is my backbone propeller all my days. As an introvert and someone who is quiet and always wants to stay on his own, this is the best part of the quiet that suits this phrase.
People would naturally want to trample upon people they feel are quiet, nonviolent, or aggressive for purposes of intimidating them and shortchanging them. But my action other than speaking too much would have their way without them realizing how wise I am. other than being foolish. Since they believe you are timid, and unexposed because of preserved nature, they always lose at the end.
In heated arguments, the position of this phrase has also taken a stronger place. One doesn't need to win arguments or engage fervently in discussions to show strength or brilliance. Most times, listeners they say are the most intelligent and wise people around. They listen to other people and become the embodiment of knowledge when traction...
To know the worth and value of anyone, the words of their mouth, when they speak that can be determined. Foolishness and Wisdom can be determined and examined by one's way of speaking. The foolish who speak less and listen more, may present wisdom to others because of some level of reservations he or she has learned.
Some Key Learnings
- The determination of foolishness and wisdom rests in the words.
- Those who seem to listen more and speak less tend to make wisdom-driven assertions and are mostly the embodiment of knowledge.
- It is wisdom to speak less to limit how our many outbursts measure us
If you could kick the ass of the person responsible for almost all your problems, you wouldn't be able to sit down for a month. Theodore Roosevelt |

This is another great reflection that directly impacts what we do in reaction to what comes our way. It is not everything we need to give attention to the way we see them. As far as we exist, we are bound to have challenges and these challenges are most at times stepping stones to success.
If we continue to react to issues the way we see them, we may get stuck to them, and while away precious time we would have plowed into other productive activities. This simply tells us that we will have problems at every stage, we have to be choosy in which to respond to.
Secondly, we have to know that giving attention to already passed events isn't necessary. Events come and go and all we need to do is to learn from every scenario that plays out. Dwelling in them with energies required for other productive tasks would amount to wasting our precious time unknowingly.
A typical scenario of this was when I had a little problem in my former workplace. I observed that one of my colleagues was busy sabotaging my effort at my back. Since he was working with me, he also had the opportunity to learn from what I was doing. But surprisingly, he started undoing what I had already instituted in the field and planted his.
I got to find out what he did, the ones I could talk about, I did and restored normalcy, and the ones I thought I could manage the situation, I had to be silently taking the necessary actions. This saved me a w
Those are the two reflections I could give meaningful insights.
Your reflection on the importance of staying quiet and listening is filled with wisdom . Being an introvert and a good listener can often be an advantage . People may underestimate you because youre quiet But that can work to your advantage . Your actions and wisdom shine through without the need for many word .
You also make an excellent point about Choosing which problems to react to and not dwelling on past events . It's a valuable lesson to focus on the issues That truly matter and not waste time on things that have already passed .
Thank you, friend for reading through my publications. Those attributes highlighted are my selling points towards achieving advancement through those reflections. No one would be able to predict or guess your next action since you're not communicating as they needed.
Thanks again...nice weekend

Saludos cordiales.
Thank you @mariami for such a thoughtful piece. Hope you did had a great day.
Nice weekend, friend👍
Thank you for this enriching post. Your thoughts on the quotes are deep and wise. The first quote about silence is particularly powerful, and you illustrated it well with your own experience as an introvert. The wisdom of silence is clearly demonstrated.
The second quote about dealing with problems is also very relevant. Your personal work story demonstrates how picking your battles can be more productive than reacting to every problem. Ultimately, your ideas are valuable and encouraging. Keep sharing your enriching thoughts!
