SEC-S13W5 | "Christmas Crafts"

Hey Steemian friends!

Christmas is the most vibrating event in Sri Lanka after Vesak. The whole city comes to life with the decorations and lights. I'm not a Christian but we celebrate this special day with our Christian friends. We don't have winter here! but I love snow. So let's create a snowman ☃️ just to feel the ice cold winter here in Sri Lanka.

I will use below items to get it done,

• 02 Balls,
• Pair of socks,
• Buttons,
• Thread,
• A piece of cloth (for the scarf),
• Puncher & a piece of paper,

These are all simple materials you probably already have at home.

01. Prepare the Socks

Take one sock and fill the toe with two balls. This will be the head & body of your snowman. Secure it with a knot in the end.

02. Shape the Snowman

To create the division between the head and body use the piece of cloth to make a scarf for your snowman. Wrap it around the hip (between two balls) and tie a knot or a bow to add a touch of charm.

03. Decorate the Body

Using buttons and a glue gun, place three buttons down the front of the snowman's body to create the appearance of a jacket. You can be creative with the button colors and sizes for a personalized touch.

04. Decorate the Face

I have used buttons and papers to create eyes and a mouth for my snowman. I glued them securely onto the head. You can get creative with the facial expressions! Here I tried to make a smiling snowman!

05. Snowman's Hat

Neatly fold the top part of the sock to create the hat shape and use a pin to secure the fold. Wrap the thread around the top of the hat to add a decorative touch. This is the final look of my snowman!
