Good Afternoon dear lovely steemians, how are you all doing? I hope you all doing fine? Today I want thank this lovely community for introducing such lovely contest in our lovely community, I love this contest because it is really helpful in the growth of our community and and our Ecosystem
In correspondence to our community contest, I was walking by the road and I saw is economical tree known as Bitter leaf (also known as Vernonia amygdalina) by the side and I went to ask the owner of the tree to please permit me to take a branch from the tree i saw, the owner been a nice man permitted me know o carry as much as I needed but I needed just one branch.
So as i was saying, after the owners accepted my request to take a branch of th the tree, I took it to my mini farm. Then I went to find a condemned sacks bag, then I filled it with enough black sand ( loamy soil ) till a considerable level. Then I took the sand filled sack to the back yard and dropped at a safe spot.
Then I took the the collected branch from the parent tree and I used a stick dig a little hole in the center of the sand filled bag and I careful put in the branch of the bitter leaf tree I was give then I covered it in the sand making it firm in the sack bag.
After which I took the baby plant and the sack bag to a safe spot in my farm where it will be free from insects and pest, I also made sure the plant was close to where it would receive sun light in enough quality and quantity because the plant is a green plants so therefore it will surely make use of photosynthesis to grow healthy and faster.
- Grow on a healthy soil
First of all you should make sure the plant grows on a fertile soil and the most fertile soil that ever exit is Known loamy soil or black soil, that why I planted mine in a loamy soil because I trust it to nutritious enough for a healthy life of the young Vernonia amygdalina plant.
- Keep the plant far from reach of pest, weed and insects
Most insects and pest love eating green plants, so therefore if you want your plant to grow properly ensure you keep them very safe from plant eating pest and insects. Just as pest and insects affect the plant growth the weeds also competes with the plant for nutrients so therefore the plants grow slower because of weeds in the farm area

- Giving your plant good sun light.
Sunlight are so so essential to the growth of plants in the farm because the plant attract energy resources from the sun and the process is known as photosynthesis.

Bitter leaf is one of the famous plant of nigerians that i have seen. Yes, Bitter leaf is also known as Vernonia amygdalina. Nice to hear from you that the owner of the tree permit you to take a branch from the tree you saw. Wow very nice owner God bless him.
I think Bitter leaf is also used for cooking in Nigeria. Is i am right or not. Bitter leaf has also many advantages like it is very helpful for our health.
