INTRODUCTION

The statement "Age is just a number" is a saying to remind us that age shouldn't define who we are, what we can do, or what we can achieve. It is a reminder that we should not let age be a limitation to our abilities, passions, or what we can achieve.

Are you proud of how old you are? Or are you one of those who remove or add age?

Recently, on October 10th, 2023 to be precise, made me 28 years of age, and I must say sometimes I feel I haven't achieved as much as my mates have, or even what I wish to achieve but I've never been ashamed of my age.

I've never added or subtracted not even a day from my age no matter what. Yes, I may not have achieved my desired goals, but looking at how things play out in the world currently, I can say I'm okay with myself, knowing that life is never a competition, not with myself or those around me.

Is being 20 years the same as being 65 years?

Figuratively, 20 and 65 aren't the same, then how can being 20 years old be the same as being 65 years old?

Therefore, being 20 years old and being 65 years old are very different in terms of age and life experiences, a 45-year difference resulting in many memories and experiences.

A person at the age of 20 is generally considered young and still exploring their career, education, and personal interests. Someone who is just starting the journey of adulthood, discovering his/her passions.

On the other hand, a 65-year-old person is considered to be someone in his/her senior years, with a wealth of life experiences. From which they may have established relationships, raised a family, and accumulated knowledge over the years.

However, a 20-year-old person and a 65-year-old person can share similarities in the areas of personal growth, learning, and enjoying life.

How old would you like to be right now and why?

At this moment, I am a youth or a young adult who is still trying to find my way in the journey of adulthood. I wouldn't mind taking another age, probably lower than my current age, but I don't have to run from the reality of things after all, I just told you age is just a number.

I am tempted to wish for a much younger age, hoping to correct one or two mistakes and the rest, however, I've learned also that life has no user manual, so how sure am I that if I go back in time and correct those mistake, I won't be making others? So for these reasons, I'm comfortable with where I am and the things I've achieved. Hence, I'm very okay with my current age.

Do you agree with the laws' special treatment for older people?

100%, I agree that the elderly should be treated with special treatment, no matter their culture, or background. Remember, the laws of special treatment if implemented will also get to us as we also going to be older as time goes on.

Hence, the elderly should be allowed to enjoy special treatments such as pensions, social security, and free medical care. These are some of the basic things they need as they grow older and fable to be able to provide and fend for themselves.

Do you think 18 is old enough to be considered an adult?

I've come to understand that the age of adulthood varies from region to region in the world. The age of 18 is generally considered to be the beginning of adulthood, as it is when we reach 18 years that we are allowed to take on responsibilities like voting and joining the military.

Also, It is when we reach 18 years old that we are considered to be capable of making informed decisions and taking on adult responsibilities. So yes, I believe, 18 years is old enough to be deemed an adult, but I would also like to suggest that we consider aspects such as maturity, and experience when determining who's an adult.

Upvoted. Thank You for sending some of your rewards to @null. It will make Steem stronger.

It is very important to feel proud of our age, whatever it is. And regarding one of the comments you share with us here, let me tell you that it is normal to see the negative things in ourselves and it is super difficult to see the positive. Everyone goes at their own pace and that's okay. Surely you have achieved a lot and sometimes you can't see it clearly.

I wish you success in the contest and in your life :)

I love the point you made in saying that the statement that age is just a number was made to make us not allow our age to define who we are and what we can achieve. I also love the part that you haven’t had to add or reduce ur age and you’re proud of it.

I also wished I could have a way to go back in age to correct some mistakes I’ve done in the past like you said. Such a great post you have here. Warm regards sir and wishing you luck in the contest.
