Hello friends!!

It's week one of season 13 in the steemit engagement challenge, Who is excited??.

Starting up with an important topic that can't be overlooked on this platform, powerup!!

Why do you think it is important to do Power Up?

Before you can talk about the importance of a thing, it is good to talk about what that thing is, describing it. Therefore, at this point I would like to tell you briefly about what powerup means.

Powerup is a term used on this platform to describe a process where steem is converted to steem power and stored in the wallet.

Have you had a reason to open up a fixed account in the traditional bank? oh yes powerup looks exactly like it. When you powerup you put your steem in a fixed position where you cant easily take it out but it's put into other works.

There are several reasons why I think powerups are important. And they includes

• Powering up shows your commitment to growth on this platform

Powering up your steem is one of the major ways to grow on steemit. This simply means when a user constantly powers up, he is in the path of growth. If you want to know a users commitment to his growth, check his power ups

• Powering up helps you gives value to your support through vote on users posts

If user A has a steem power of 2,000 sp and user B has a steem power of 60,000 sp. When these two users vote on a particular post, the user vote with 60,000 sp, will have more value on the post than the user with 2000 sp.

Do you know why? The difference is simply the number of steem power they both have. User B has 60,000 steem power because over time he has powered up more steem than user A who has 2000 sp. So if you want to add more value on people's post, power up more to build your steem power.

• Powering up is serves as a form of investment or savings for you on the platform

Oh I remember when the club status initiative was introduced by the steemit steem in 2021. Before then I didn't have the culture of savings. Always took out all my earnings from this platform every week. My steem power was not even up to 500 steem power.

I just found away to adapt to the new initiative, I joined club 5050, powering up 50% of my earnings monthly, from there I moved to club75 and guess what today I have more than 9,0000 steem power working today's my second dolphin.

• Power ups help you get more steem power which in turn increases your reward when you vote on posts.

How often do you usually power up?

The fact that I know the value of power ups, I make sure I power up consistently.

My power ups are usually done every week or every two weeks. This is done to enable me maintain my club status.

Before I powered up my steem was 87.790 while my steem power was 9,893.072. let's see what happens after the power up.

You will notice an increase in the amount of steem power I have after I made my power ups. A total of 9,937.864 steem power.

What is your next Steem Power goal to achieve and how soon do you expect to achieve it?

My steem power goal is to hit the double dolphin status. This requires me to have a total of 10,000 steem power after powerup.

God willing, before the end of this month, I should be able to achieve this goal. I can't wait to hit this dolphin status. It's been a great desire for me to achieve it. The amount of steem I need right now to power up just to achieve dolphin is a total of 62. 136 steem.

What actions are you taking to grow your Steem Power?

There are several actions I take to grow my steem power. And some of it includes:

• I support other users with my up vote to get steem power through curation reward

I do this action of up voting on users who have made interesting publications on this platform. This is a means of showing my support to them. And by so doing,I get curation reward and my steem power grows.

• I make quality and original posts so that I can stand a chance to be voted to earn steem power through Authors reward

I try to stay active on this platform, making quality and original contents so that I can be supported with votes, which helps me earn steem power there after as authors reward.
