How are you all Hope you all are well. I'm good too. Today I will be participating in Week 2 of theSteemit Engagement Challenge Season 5. I thank all the representatives of the community for considering such a beautiful topic. Today I will share three pictures with you and try to tell a story about the feeling of drinking date palm juice on a mild winter morning, the livelihood benefits of the river for the people of the Padma and the benefit of the crops cultivated by cows. We all have different kinds of memories in our lives which we cherish for a lifetime. Today I will try to tell the story of our life through three pictures.

In the picture above you can see something liquid inside a glass. This is basically the juice of dates. It is really difficult to find people who do not like to drink date juice. But it is also true that drinking date palm juice requires a little effort. Because the date palm juice has to be reached in the early morning of the winter morning before the sun rises. Date molasses is made by burning the juice of dates with fire which is also delicious to eat. So I remember a small story about eating date palm juice. I have some friends who travel 30-35 kilometers to drink date palm juice in a city where I used to study. The next day I had to go for juice and there were three Honda bikes. Sleeping in winter mornings is very annoying as you have to go early or else you won't get the juice. Then I left one of my friends behind, that's why he wakes up a little late. It is about 10-15 km from the city to go for palm juice. At the end of the journey we are able to reach the destination. On telling the owner of the date palm there, he made us sit for about 10-15 minutes and brought a jug full of date juice. The funny thing is that I drank the maximum glass of juice that I will remember forever.

The picture above is of a jail. He went fishing in the river. They mainly catch fish through nets and in various ways. Fishermen are really excited to catch fish in the river during the rainy season. Because one of the means of livelihood of the people of Padma river is fishing in the river. When the monsoon comes, they get busy fishing in the river. A large part of the subsistence shortage is met by fishing and selling that fish. It is through such fishermen that we see different types of fish in Gramaganj and the city. Again, when the river water dries up during the dry season, they have to suffer a lot to earn their living. Again, by the river which they are being supported by, they are affected by the other side. Just like the reverse of the same coin. They become mentally depressed when the monsoons increase and houses are flooded with tidal water. People on the banks of these rivers or Padma have to lose more than temporary gains. In a word, the rate of pain is more than pleasure.

The image above is of a farmer and oxen completing the plowing of the field. Farmers who have cows to till the soil are financially benefited in many ways by farming the land. Two big bullocks are needed to cultivate the land. A farmer benefits a lot through bulls because the sale of bulls is financially beneficial and through that bulls the land can be cultivated and good crops can be sown in the land.

If we do a lot of targeting, we see that the number of trees across the country is decreasing day by day. At the end of the day we are cutting down all kinds of trees without considering which ones our society needs. Date palm tree is not very common now but I think this date palm tree should be there because consuming date palm juice and molasses from the juice is very beneficial for human body. For those of us walking on the banks of the Padma, perhaps the beauty of nature catches our eye the most. Due to human activities and occasional river erosion, the natural beauty of the river is disappearing day by day. The life of the people of Padmapar is going on in extreme despair and suffering. We always call fish and rice Bengali because the river is slowly getting destroyed. So for the beauty of our nature and the livelihood of the people on the banks of the Padma, governments and organizations must ensure that they live there. Our land is better plowed by cows and farmers rather than using machine plows because it penetrates much deeper than cows or engines fail to penetrate. Cattle farming should be brought back as a major means of increasing crop fertility. Gradually this plow cultivation is disappearing.
