It's really exciting to be participating in this interesting contest titled 3 images, one story by @hive-181136
A picture they say could mean a thousand words, and some images have lots of story behind them. For this week, I will be telling you a story using 3 original pictures taken by me.

They was once a community called Ikulu in the southern part of Nigeria. It was a large island surrounded by water. This community is full of hard-working and interesting people, but the villagers of this community were not happy because they had been no industrial development or projects in the community for so long.

The members of this community were rather selfish and self-centered, as they only cared about themselves and their family members. No one was willing to do anything that would benefit his neighbor.
The rich villagers who had more money went ahead to get canoes for themselves and their families alone. While the poor villages only tend to roam around the village, as they were no major roads or bridges leading to other towns and cities.
Instead of coming together and using community efforts to build a bridge or road to other communities, the people rather preferred to mind their different businesses.
The king of this community was rich, and he had a personal boat for himself, which made him not care about the welfare of his people. He later got sick and a new interim king was appointed.
This new king gather every member of the community to his palace, and told them about "the need for togetherness among community members." After a long and impactful speech, the heart of the villagers melted and for the first time in decades, both the rich and poor villagers came together to suggest the creation of a bridge to the nearest cities and towns of their community.

Like the saying, "we are strong when we are together, but we are weak when we are divided." So the people of Ikulu started building the bridge together, and to their surprise, they got external support from other community chiefs and wealthy members.
In less than 6 months, the bridge was completed and there was joy and happiness across the village, businesses and other industrial projects were now being carried out in the community.

A celebration ceremony was held in the community, and all members of the neighboring villages were invited to come and join in the success of the Ikulu people.
Co-operation is key to a successful establishment, and togetherness is strength. With togetherness and teamwork between two parties, they're no doubt that they could achieve so many wonderful and impossible things.

I am sure no other community could have compared themselves with the community which you have discussed. You know, a community with great fishermen, farmers, and hunters is like a country that has abandoned natural resources like oil and gold. Your story is well explained, sir. Best of luck to you.
You are right sir, even with the multiple fishermen at that time, development refused to come to the community, as they were no major roads or bridges. Nevertheless, as the people later realized that their disunity was causing the drawback, they quickly did the right thing and everything was great again.
