You would agree with me that value is a very important concept in our society today, given the fact that it is the quality that brings peace to a nation and its people. We all have unique values and qualities.
Today I will be sharing my views and opinions on "Value," so let's dive into what I have for us.

Values are generally referred to as the set of standards and principles that guide people's behavior and decision-making. When people live by their code of ethics or philosophy, they're practicing virtue.

Values also have to do with the style and ways people tend to live their lives. It goes as far as how they dress, eat and react to certain situations. Yes, how they dress, say, for instance, a person wearing all black clothes could signify a standard for high-class fashion or it might represent that the person is mourning the death of a loved one.

A nation of anti-value people tends to have lots of problems and violence. Because no one will be trusted to do what is right or beneficial for the growth of others. But values could mean great for the future of a nation.

We all have values that we hold dear, as they affect the way we live our lives, the choices we make, and how we interact with those around us. Values can be political, religious, or simply personal; however, all values are equally important in shaping society and holding it together through diversity and disagreement.

Values are more than just words, as they represent our character and what we stand for. People with strong values always tend to do what's best for the growth of their nation.

Their styles and virtue always speak for them, as they are always true to themselves and their society as a whole. We see the importance of values in our everyday life, from people who serve their community to those who work hard at their workplaces. We also see it reflect on TV and in movies, where people with good and noble values attract blessings and peace to their societies and communities.

The value I consider which defines me is Respect. This is giving everyone maximum regard by considering and observing their customs, practices, rules, and rights.

I have grown to realize that our society today only gives respect to the wealthiest and most powerful people. But I believe that everyone deserves respect regardless of their size or status in society.

This has lead many Individuals to go the extra mile by performing diabolic and illegal acts in order to get wealth and respect. It is important to note that if we show equal respect to everyone it will further promote unity, love and peace among members of a community because everyone is being assigned maximum regard.

I look beyond strength, wealth, status, and valor when showing my respect, as I believe grace differs and every one is unique and great in his/her ways.

I show my respect in every possible circumstance, situation, and any chance I get to it to anyone. Below are some of the ways I show my respect to others.

• Listening Carefully To What People Have To Say Without Interrupting Them: They are times when I even get upset with what my opponent is saying, and would be compelled to interrupt his/her speech. But then, I realized everyone has his/her humble opinions and beliefs.

I usually respect what they have to say without Interrupting them, and in most cases, I nod my head periodically when they are speaking to show am listening to their opinions.

• I Complement Everyone Respectfully: In our society today, we tend to only give a compliment to the people we feel deserve it more. But I have observed that compliments are one of the simplest ways to show respect to other individuals.

It's a good way to communicate with people we aren't familiar with. Just a compliment of admiration on their dress is enough to make their day.

• I Respect Everyone's Personal Spaces: This refers to their private and comfortable places. People may have different personal spaces, based on their culture, gender, or personality, as most people usually feel uncomfortable if someone interrupts their personal space without permission.

To be sincere, I have seen a lot of anti-values in my life but the one I have witnessed the most is greed. I think this is one of the most common Anti-value acts among members of our society today.

From some of my friends, classmates and even my government, I have seen people do selfish things for their desires. They take more than what they deserve and in most cases, it's on food, money, wealth, or other possessions.

Greed can make a nation suffer, especially when those in power possess such bad values. Even now my country has witnessed many self-centered leaders who focus on enriching themselves and their families alone.

The answer depends on who you ask, because in our society today, we have a lot of complicated and strong-headed persons who could change in value with time. But in a real sense,Values are not supposed to change, as they define the lifestyle of a particular person.

An in-born value is unique and can not be changed, because they have been part of us for a very long time. Nevertheless, distraction and lack of self-control can still make someone go out of style. Remember that change is there only constant thing in life and we shouldn't be surprised if someone of good value suddenly becomes the opposite of his/her former self.

Value provides a nice direction for our lives and gives us hope for the future. They give people meaning and style, and they make us better people in society.
The organizers of this contest have done well, in organizing such an educative that is of great importance to society.
