Presenting STEEMIT Brands at Campsite & Learning Events About Hiking and Survival

This is an update post about activities that we have recently carried out. Kemi has carried out basic education and training activities for new members of IAIN Lhokseumawe Scouts. This activity was carried out in the form of a camp which was attended by more than 20 participants.

A number of trainers and instructors were also invited to provide learning materials at this camp. This activity is carried out to provide knowledge about scouting for prospective new members. In practice, participants have followed a number of learning materials.

The learning model in this camp is carried out systematically, communicatively, interactively and educatively. The learning module also refers to the activity schedule that has been made by the event organizing committee. The teaching and learning process takes place outside the room.

Not only providing learning material, the trainer also carries out field practice to make it easier for participants to understand the learning material. The trainers who participated in this activity consisted of experienced and reliable instructors in the field of education they controlled. In this meeting I had the opportunity to provide educational materials about hiking and survival.

In this lesson, I am tasked with providing guidance on hiking travel routes to participants at the release post. The educational process that takes place outdoors allows them to interact directly with nature. Knowledge of hiking and survival is a must-have knowledge for scout members.

Every member of the scout must have the knowledge to see and observe hiking routes through maps. In addition, they must also be able to read special passwords in the hiking route area. To make it easier to search for hiking trails, participants must also master the knowledge of how to use a compass.

Before deciding to explore a hiking route, participants are gathered in rows. They received instructions to bring in logistics, such as clothes and food. The amount of logistics that must be brought is to be used for 2 days.

All the logistics that they had taken at the camp were then packed. At this packing stage, participants must work hard so that all of their logistics can fit in the bag. The procedure for arranging the layout of the goods in the bag will determine the amount of logistics that will fit in the bag.

We have provided several clear plastic bags to put important items in it. This is so that the logistics that are brought will not get wet if exposed to rain or water. They do the packing as we have taught through the guide during the learning process.

When putting logistics in the bag, they have to organize the space. Important items that will always be used will be placed at the top. While other supporting items will be placed at the bottom of the bag.

Another thing to note is the food, they bring raw food which will be cooked when it arrives at each rest post. During their hiking they have passed a very challenging route. They passed through various traps, forests, hills, and slippery roads after it had rained the previous day. Each team leader is tasked with keeping their members at the last post before late at night.

In the middle of a hiking trip, they will find a resting post for cooking and dinner. This is where they have to apply the survival science they have learned before. They will cook without using a stove and sophisticated tools.

The only thing they can rely on is whatever is available in the forest so they can cook rice. They can use the betel nut that grows in the forest and light a fire with twigs. The process of survival in the wild becomes an interesting challenge.

At the learning activity meeting that took place outside this room, we also presented the Steemit brand in front of all activity participants. The Steemit brand was introduced through a T-Shirt used by my assistant who served as a coach on the field. Steemit T-shirts are presented to introduce the Steemit brand in front of scout members.

This is part of the promotional activities that we do regularly to scout members in our area. So, we are present at this activity by bringing the Steemit brand to the public for scout members. This is an easy way to introduce them to the Steemit platform.
